As an recently returned old-timer, I like the cap. I don't have a problem being stuck at 99% renown for a while. I usually run out in the wilds and kill something for xp, or run around the IC killing stuff, if need be. I'll get there eventually. I'm trying to enjoy the ride, and I do enjoy the slightly more laid-back version that RoR is currently.

ooooh so cap makes it easier for YOU ;) ok that makes sense now, you are not getting paid, so intead of making game better for players, it is easier for you to balance. Why you even bother then ? Hire a good lawyer and win a legal despute with GW (as I mentioned before there is no longer warhammer fantasy battle, it is age of sigmar now, they were forced to do it, because they lost in court due copy rights) buy licence and start taking donations, people will pay, because they are happy to play war again. I'm not talking about subs or micropayments, just donations, like charity. We will get better product and you wont be slaves forced to make changes.

Concerns about the comfort or "smoothness" of progression will always be secondary to concerns about balance. Epecially as we introduce designs and concepts geared toward getting players to revisit earlier tiers and lower-level content.

If cap gets removed and you only can spend 10 points in T1 bracket, 20 in T2, 30 in T3 and get to spend all your points at rank 32. Then there would be less issues than now (imho).

Fact is any true WAR player plays for the purple. If the end game goal here is not to allow rr to go to 80 (ok way past 40) then we're all wasting our time playing/developing this private server. This is special and I'm dedicated to this game but final stage will be rr80+ or this will be a colossal waste of people's time and resources.

Uh. Playing for the purple is what leads to so many people raging. Playing for the PvP is actually fun at times. Sitting and waiting for ticks is boring to quite a few people.

Glad to see I am not a true WAR player. I just like the fights apparently.

I swear everyone started from day 1, started in beta, played it until the game went offline. I mean if I was not mistaken I would think that with that much knoweledge and experience you could murder the game balance threads with actual information to prolong the life of this private server we have been so fortunate to be apart of.

This is not a terrible idea, and would essentially be an extension of the debolster we have. We could look into locking off the number of points you can spend in the first place based on your level.

Renown gain from SCs could use an increase. Right now a group can gank a soloer in the lakes and get more renown from that than they can from a 15 min SC with constant fighting.

It would be great if ORVR was more active and producing better quality fights, but SCs are a legitimate game mode and should give at least reasonable progression besides just gear.
