The War on Xrealming and Cowardice Begins Today!

It's funny you say that. I was baiting out xrealmers today on order side. I spammed in all caps "WE MOVE TO ATTACK THEIR KEEP IN TM". A solid 10 people promptly left our warband and destro numbers swelled.

Go for it, although it will lead to a failed keep assault. And they're likely to come back if destro pushes you in your keep, in which case the cycle begins again.

Who said anything about attacking their keep? I would announce it, but then go camp the enemy WC/road to their keep and gank the "filthy, cheating x-realmers".

That is... if it actually worked like that and i got my AAO. Which i doubt.

I would just like to point out that while malicious xrealming isn't great and is a problem that needs to be resolved for a better oRvR experience and all that cool stuff, the recent (I hate to use this word, but whatever) hype around the terrible, awful, INSIDIOUS xrealmers that poison the server and its inhabitants has caused some people to perpetuate this sort of hysteric culture within the community that leads some people to be so obsessed with witch hunting and exposing any xrealmer that they can find and therefore they seek out people who they perceive to be one, even if they are not, with ridiculous logic to back up their decision, and ridicule and demean them through means of chat channels and snide remarks in tells, or whatever the case may be. That to me is what causes more of a degraded player experience than direct xrealming itself...

Its pretty simple.

Defense provides same rewards as offense.
Defense is 10x easier than offense.

Therefore people will FLOCK to defense rather than trying to attack a keep even once.

From my perspective, Order has more guilds that do premade RvR. I see more Destro WBs (mostly PUGs) that end up pushing a keep, getting stalled on the outer door for 30 minutes while an order PM sits in defense.

After enough wipes, several destro guys log off and onto order characters to get the Def Tick and chance at loot - which they arent gonna get on offense.


Defense rewards need to get slashes.

I think people get REALLY salty atm since BOs dont provide anything, so people work hard in capping a zone only to get stone walled at a keep because more people are interested in defending keeps than anything else since its SO easy to do and frankly, it provides the SAME loot.

Id honestly be happy if it took a warband getting the INNER door down before any def tick even happens. If you kept a warband on outer door, did you really do all that much? Probably not really. So it seems to me, that you really didnt do anything.

Contrast that with a WB who takes ALL the BOs and then tried a keep assault, atleast they took the BOs in the zone...

If you ask me, the guys that did more should get the reward, not the guys who dropped oil for 10 minutes and AoE ranged a Warband and then get bags?!

Making Defense ticks only happen when Inner is down a little bit (meaning outer fully down and inner takes damage) would make things much more interesting....

Last point, by and large. Insulting people tends to be a poor way of actually accomplishing things. Calling them cowards, Xrealmers, losers, not real WAR players, etc etc etc. How often have you responded positively to being called names?

9/10 those trying to push for what they want in terms of battlefield War's, just bark at people. THey have no plan or strategy, besides getting wiped over and over. If you think there are so many people that feel similar, then go form Alliance WBs accomplish outside of the Zerg. Why do you need to bark at other people for what they are doing?

And how is that Hypocritical? Yes I have a Z on dessie for when I am bored. But Order is my main side. Your playstyle is irrelevant to me. Insulting people and generally claiming to be better is different however.

Edit: And I agree with you which is funny. I hate Keep Def tick's. It's boring just standing there. And even worse when you are sitting at your keep when the other side has AAO. So guess what I don't do? I don't do that which I dislike. Easy.

I agree with you, I really don't like the harsh attitude between realms, we should aim to make this game as enjoyable as we can, the whole "realm pride" thing just seems to create a hostile enviroment, it's no way to attract new players. Personally I prefer, friendly interactions during **** to actually invite new players to this pvp concept.

Personally I just went "trial and error" but x-realming could probably be solved by, this may sound silly, by actually getting to know eachother, screw realmpride, we all love this game,instead of insulting, try appreciating those who participate,make it friendly.
