Isn't that a huge **** you to healers?
I'd assume that m eant the number of bags that get rolled on is dependent on total kills for the attackers/defenders during the siege. So (random numbers) 10 kills for defenders might yield 1 gold bag and 0 purple, while 50 gives 3 and 2 and 100 gives 5 and 3, etc. And then everyone rolls for them.

A good experience doesn't just fall into your lap. Finish leveling to 40, maybe get some ruin gear, make some friends or join a guild. This is not a single Q lobby game with ELO matchmaking, and even those are rarely balanced. And this has nothing to do with crossrealming.

Was fun trying out enemy classes on separate servers, not gonna do it over here ... I'm already bothered by the fact you are able to message opposite faction, takes some of the fun off.

For too long have we worried more about the rewards than the actual combat. That ends today.

Do not hit the keep doors.
Do not give the xrealmers the advantage nor their beloved defense tick. Force those without courage off the walls, force them into battle where they can no longer take their ranged, unkillable status as a given or squabble amongst themselves who gets to use the oil.

We shall fight only in open combat. Meet us in the battlefield, away from the keeps. We shall see who is stronger, who is skilled, who will be victorious.

If you want your precious renown and influence, come and earn it.
That happens anyway when we fight for control of a BO.

OP, I salute your well-intentioned attempt at motivating both sides. Alas, as has been said, and Vets the likes of Penril, Telen, Zabis & TenTonHammer can, will and have attested: motivation of this sort is counterproductive, and has been since "One Realm per Account" was done away with to address the needs of imbalanced and dying servers and aggravated-come-apathetic players.

This is not to say your motivation and desire is a negative: far from it. I've played only Destruction since live launch, coming to WAR first and foremost because, at the time, every customer HAD to make a choice (or purchase multiple accounts... lame) and stand for something one was wont to stand for. However, in my opinion (and I'm no leader; in the world of leaders and followers, I'm one of this world's leading followers) it is misplaced/misapplied. At the risk of sounding trite or insulting, which is not my intent in the slightest, you must become the player/leader/follower you most desire to fight beside while at the same time graciously and with respect and thanksgiving, acknowledging the efforts and endeavors of your enemy.

I humbly recommend you try this tactic(s) for 3 solid weeks before telling me to kick rocks:

-On the Field of Battle:
*If you lead, do so with the proverbial Iron Fist in Velvet Glove, eschewing patience while motivating the listless & endeavoring to skillfully MANAGE your WB with great efficiency, foregoing direct battle in many cases to offer that to your followers, who crave it as much as you. In (a very short) time, your efforts WILL repay you tenfold.
*Endeavor to get your followers the very rewards you desire, expecting nothing but the thrill of battle to log off with for the night.
*Show ZERO care for those who abandon your efforts (for whatever their reasons, game or irl) being sure to thank them for helping to make your time in battle exactly that: time IN BATTLE & not grinding RvE.
*If following, be the spine of your WB leader.
*Remove your CAPS lock key from your keyboard.
*Speak ill of NO ONE.
*Be sincerely grateful of battling insurmountable odds. Becoming a superior strategist is the fruit you will certainly bear.
*Be flexible. Be understanding.
*If you must vent rage (justifiable or not) endeavor to do so in swarthy, role-playing style. OR, keep it on YOUR side of YOUR screen while you "hit" any key to continue.
*End your gaming session on a 'high note', logging off after what you feel is a successful campaign, and not after several failed attempts sporting a sour attitude. Remain logged off as long as is necessary for you to quietly recount how much blood you just shed. Then, back into the fray with you.
-In these forums:
* Adopt this rule: they are here for you to graciously recount the efforts of your enemy, your team and/or your team leader IN THAT ORDER. Without them, you are simply masturbating.
*Close your mouth (or fingers as it were) and open your eyes and ears; especially when experienced Vets, Devs and others like those mentioned above, as well those whom you respect are speaking/writing.

Do not take me at my word. Do this for 21 straight days (missing a day means starting the count anew) and then IF these suggestions fail, feel free to flame me and my account til I slink off this server. If any Dev and/or Vet has opposing/other ideas, you would do well to listen to them.

Good Hunting mate.

but i digress
