Im not too sure how this works,hope AZ doesn't explode..but can the same system that they use to identify ban evaders used to quell the xrealming?

I am fully aware that my solution is impossible right now. But I just don't want to forget my idea. So I bring it to discussion with community. That was nothing in style "do it now DEVs or else..." Maybe my english is not as good as I think it is ;)
My aprroach is more "what we can do if there is no technicall obstacles". But if you say it's wrong then I stop.

Is it really even cross realming? I feel like it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I play one side. If i keep id's going poorly i just leave unless i have a seige weapon because if i stay I'm wasting my time. If destro (or order) calls out that they need help in t4 that they are at a keep it just a lot of players afk or doing other things to come out into lakes. Now I'm not saying that people don't x realm, but it's not nearly as bad as is being made out to be. In rvr most of the time the lakes are about even with aao being at like 20-40% and i feel like it wouldn't be possible without people playing both sides honestly. . . someone said it's like two out of three warbands will switch over. It's maybe a group or two switching and others going elsewhere if it seems bad. Pqs and scs odds are.

If you've ever seen a mysterious, massive AAO shift or your siege weapons disappearing because some scag decided to tow them to a far corner of the battlefield to sabotage you, then congratulations - you've seen crossrealming.

It's very real and it's holding me back in how I want to progress with the RvR.

You cannot build a system with rewards or progression such that a player's team association can change before all of the consequences of the system have been applied. In a competitive match or a scenario, you can't decide to switch to your opponent's team because they're doing better than you. In a properly designed war game based on a campaign, you similarly can't decide to switch to the enemy faction because they beat you and partake in the rewards intended for that faction. That violates the entire premise of the game. This has to stop, and it has to stop completely. No lockout or timer implementation. Just a hard stop.

The most effective means of eliminating behavior like xrealming is to remove or greatly diminish the incentive. Right now, those incentives are easy renown and loot from keep defense as well as to join the winning side and not get roflstomped. I've got a larger post on this I'm working on that identifies the design flaws in RvR and suggests ways to fix them. For now, all I'll say is to make keep defense less daunting and implement a force equalizer in the RvR lakes that compensates for being outnumbered.

How about if you log onto a different side, after just being on the opposite. You have a buff where you turn into a chicken when you enter Orvr :P that be funny. Of course it wears off in a hour or how ever yall see fit to prevent people raging and switching to make them stay and fight the eternal WAR! :D

That's a good idea, turn into a chicken like you would when entering a low lvl area if you where flagged into rvr on the other side within like the last hour or half hour. Tho I'm not hoping on it atm considering that even the regular pvp flag system is still a little buggy and the game is being programmed by volunteers, it seems they probably have other priorities. Especialy since a lot of ppl think x-realming isn't that big an issue.
(And of course there's ways around it like making multiple accounts etc. but a lot of ppl wont bother doing that, and a lot also probably just stop once it becomes officially discouraged and viewed as immoral.)

this is pointless, blocking people from pvp in pvp-game on a server where pve almost doesn't exist

just block RR gain and bag looting for an hour(or even less) after switching sides and that will fix the issue
