Re: Low FPS on not terrible PC
The game engine used for the game is pretty shocking - to be polite.
Lowest FPS I get is about 20-30 and my system runs i7 3770k OC @ 4.3GHz and 2 GTX 780s.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Low FPS on not terrible PC
What Elven says is correct, engine is terrible and you'll rarely see the FPS cap of 100. Even on the top rigs, you'll struggle for more than 10fps in large ORvR fights. FPS difference between 1080p and 4k is so small(around 5fps difference.)
Even with i7-2600k, gtx970, I get 80fps standing in altdorf on minimum settings, and 60 on highest. The will both drop once in combat too. With only 30% gpu usage...
Best advice like in any game, if you want higher framerate, lower the graphics, and make sure you aren't running any fancy effects in nvidia or whatever amd offers.

Point is.
I played w:ar when it was normal prepaid game, not long after it was started. On much worsed PC. And got much better fps. And absolutly non of this 1-5 fps ,,moments''.

I am dirty X-realmer. Always change to weaker side.

game engine is crap. im running i7 [email protected] , gtx1080 at 4096x2160p , 64GB ram and the fps is jumping all over the place. (15-99). yet cpu/gpu utilization is below 30%

Re: Low FPS on not terrible PC
Thing is its a single core game. Even if you have the best quad core itll be bad if its below 4ghz.
I play 99fps, and 30-40 high pop orvr on my 4,5ghz oc while when its not OC at 2.6-3ghz I get below 70 and 15-20 orvr

RoR server is not the original game and sends packets which are partially guesswork. This causes the client to behave strangely.
