It just looks like he is playing the game on lowest settings with some weird filter that makes the game somehow look even worse. Then is complaining that the game looks bad, then it devolved into WoW vs WAR somehow. And then people are using the updated WoW engine/textures that came out recently as a comparison for WAR which never got that treatment.
That's a out of the box with AF 16 on. Would you like me to prove it by opening my Graphics window? Sorry bro but Warhammer looks like dog crap. The screen shots you see where it looks 'okay' are modded files to change the lighting/shadows. That doesn't even fix how awful the majority of the textures look in the game.

and no they're not the 'updated' engine/texture WoW pictures being linked from 2004 Vanilla WoW.

But after finding this server It doesn't seem the game aged very well.

Everything is very muddy looking and the player models in the distance just look really weird and clunky.

It would be pretty cool if it was possible to get a HD texture pack or something.
I 100% agree you :). Sadly, we can't do much better actually (i insist on actually) than the great Sildur option. More than graphics, 3d models should be reworked ( better : the whole 3d engine !!!).

We all love Warhammer Online and if i was possible, we would all improve it and make it even better in every ways.

If a solution to mod the client appear, i'm pretty sure that many graphic designers and 3d modelers here will find a great playground to express their talent :) (as made for elder scroll saga for exemple).

Here are some of my nicest screens :)
All of them are recorded in 4xAA and 4xAF. No Shader enhancements.
Note: The first two images look pretty dark. Don't know what happened to them while uploading.
For some of them I turned off Post Processing.

Running around in T1 this morning. Wanted to share to you.
If the pictures turn out too small, I apologize in advance.
Also sorry if anyone was caught in these pics that didn't want to be seen
This is about as good as I can get it visually without other mods.
Last few pics show settings used and system.
