Download and install WinRar: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar531.exe

Once installed, the 5 parts will automatically be assigned to open with WinRar. Open part 1 by double clicking it. It will show the game folder inside, just drag and drop it to the desktop.

This process takes some time. Once it's done, put the RoR launcher inside the game folder.

This applies to you both.

Remove read only on the game folder.

Azarael wrote: Access was denied to the path or file WAR.exe!

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.

Hey guys. It´s been almost a week that I couldn´t play the game. And yes, I have tried every possible solution...at least I think so. Please help me almighty Elven, my Knight in shiny armour in my times of despair, for thou hast rescued my arse numerous times befooore....well, just one time, but still! Pretty please!

My personal troubleshooting is as follows, perhaps I have overlooked something.

-CCleaner? Check.
-Malewarebytes? Check.
-Resetting router? Check.
-Re-downloading ror launcher? check.
-Moving folder back and forth? Check.
-5 minutes ago, I changed my password, just making sure I tried everything. Check.
-Tick "read only" box? check.
-Admin rights? check.

The first paragraph of the message (in German: "...konnte nicht gefunden werden.") means the game could not be found. I have played this game with the folder being on my Desktop for months. So far it was fine. Should I move it directly to my C drive?

My error message reads as follows:

Error starting: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Die Datei "C:\Users\Richard\Desktop\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe" konnte nicht gefunden werden.
Dateiname: "C:\Users\Richard\Desktop\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe"
bei System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
bei System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
bei System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access)
bei RoRLauncher.Hash.GetMd5HashFromFile(String fileName)
bei RoRLauncher.Client.patchExe()
bei RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

I hope you guys can help me, my heart and body is aching for WAAAAAGH!!!

Sincerely,

Richard

EDIT: Solved it, you guys! Never mind. I have a backup copy of the game on my USB stick. Deleted everything and pulled a new copy on my computer. Seems to work, I´m in the game! WAAAAGH <3
I gues I´ll keep it updated if it stays that way.
Last EDIT: definitely working. All good.

Close launcher, open it again and click connect. Didn't work this time? Repeat.
