Warhammer Fantasy Battles: That One Tabletop Game

Well, we are playing the MMO based off of it. Anyone else here actually play the tabletop? I'd love to get a thread going where people can discuss it, get feedback on lists, etc.

Just to start, I play Tomb Kings & Bretonnians. I also play WH40K, but thats besides the point.
Maybe I'll dredge up some pictures of my stuff in a bit; I'm working on some Ushabti, so I'll get images once theyre in a more presentable state.

Hiya,

I played awhile ago. Had almost every army, but my favorites were chaos, dwarves and orcs and gobbos.

sold everything for money at the time. sadly disapointed about that.

Have recently started collecting again but just to paint them, ill load pics up as there finished :D

My group and I played tabletop religiously back in the 90's. We had all the races represented, but I played High Elf/Wood Elf. My boys played it again a few years back as well :)

Used to play Empire/Dark Elves/Orks and Goblins/Vampire Counts and Skaven years and years back. Just started getting back into 40K again, so will probably re-take up Fantasy Warhammer as well.

Also play Epic - was just starting on Warmaster when GW pulled the plug on specialist games - got Undead and Chaos.

Damn, you guys played way back in the day. I feel like such a hack: I've only started playing both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40K in their current editions. If anyone is familiar with 8th, could I run a Tomb Kings list by ya'll?
I've got the army partially assembled, but I have no idea what I want to do with it. I was thinking an archer list.

I started back in 1995, with Wood Elves... then Undead/Vampires after they split em... and for like 5 years now I have an Empire tournament army. Haven't played much in 8th edition tho cos it's a loada bollox to be true so waiting for 9th, hoping they don't **** up this one...
I also was big into Mortheim, and Necromunda, back in the day. Still play it occasionally nowadays.

Hi the company !

For my part, I started an army of Lizard-Men there two years... I'm building an army where there is only Saurus !

¤¤¤

Salut la compagnie !

Pour ma part, j'ai commencé une armée d'Hommes-Lézards il y a deux ans... Je construis une armée où il n'y a que des Saurus !

I certainly plan to play once I'll have some(quite a lot actually-it's expensive as all hell compared to other TTs) money. My wishes:

1. High Elves(lol really?)
2. Wood Elves
3. Dwarfs(the color of Gromril!)
4. Brettonia

The first two are important, the others, not so much. Evil armies and, for the most part Orks and Empire, don't interest me.

In 40k(altho I find it kinda meh compared to Fantasy-both in the fluff and in the gameplay):

1. Tau Empire
2. Eldar

But the 40k is overall the second grade to me. Even Bretonnians are more important to me than the Tau(slightly, but still).
