What draws you to play Warhammer over other games?
Re: What draws you to play Warhammer over other games?
The mechanics of all char, dwarfs, the collision with other players (tanks make some sense), dwarfs, lore, dwarfs, rvr, dwarfs...

That was one of the biggest disappointments with this game. I don't know what I'd do to see those cities one day.

Solid archtypes. Tank, healer, mdps, rdps.
The lore and its more medieval.
The classes and races are cool as hell. Orc and Squigs are just that an not some remodel of a human with fangs like ESO. ESO orcs are crap.
The combat mechanics are at a slower pace than those like GW2 and ESO.
You can run solo or grouped and have a chance.
The old bo, keep, fort, IC progression during RVR was awesome. People literally would leave work for the first fort and IC fights!
Fantastic graphics for the era. Man if you updated the war engine to today's offerings I bet it would be killer.
RP/XP system.
Live events and PQ's - I believe warhammer ushered in the PQ. GW copied. ESO's are lame.
You can progress as a character solely on PVP or PVE. ESO sucks in that it seems like its still for the PVE'er.
OMG and lastly - scenarios. WOW i recall had something like them them but the toons kinda suck in my opinion. GW and ESO did not in the same manner - in GW you have to go to the mysts. Also knowing the name of your enemy/guild is extremely important for RVR for the rivalry factory. Once PVE gets old all you have are your progression as a PVP player, grudges, and friends to keep you logging it.

Hi
Play war as love the look and feel. Most other games do not have that "raw" feel. Well elder scrolls online came close but not quite there.

Well its free. Also it gives something to do MMO wise while waiting for Camelot Unchained and/or DAoC Uthgard to come out of beta. After that happens, most likely I'm putting a cross on this.

Re: What draws you to play Warhammer over other games?
Hands down the best tank design for a PvP game. Healers make sense in PvP. DPS don't selfheal like mofo lemmings like in some other PvP games.
Then, solo is fun, duo is fun, 6 man is fun, WB is fun. No other game has this much possible variance of fun PvP gameplay.
Best gear is from PvP. If you dislike PvE you don't have to do any ever.
Tbh, if WoW or GW2 had the same tank/healer mechanic as WAR, I would probably be playing those games.

its warhammer that draws me to it, the races in warhammer for me are just perfect. its just so brutal. i remember the live green skin starting zone, 3rd quest or so, put a dawf in a barrel and push him off a damn. you just dont get that in other games/universes. its grim, and its dark and i fking love it.
Re: What draws you to play Warhammer over other games?
Why War? Gobbos of course!
There isn't another pvp game that can compare. It is buggy, horribly optimized, and aging visually, but the classes, the pvp, and the overall feel are still strong.
I was ready to love it as soon as I saw the Blur Studio War trailer. However, I was all in when I played my first shaman and got to launch myself up to a wall via catapult in the greenskin starting zone.
Gobbos: the pariah of war and my favorite class in any game.
