A professional video game developer's task is to create a game which appeals to as many people as possible. If there were complaints, those complaints were a clear indication that they were failing in this task. Trying to represent those complaints and the responses to them in a clearly biased way does not change the facts - and the demise of the game serves as proof that the complaints were justified.

Game developers do not listen to fringe factions and tiny minorities. Any complaints they heeded were justified. The likely issue here is that the developer was so hamstrung by the publisher that they could not take the time to implement the correct redesigns and responses to the community's issues.

Lest we forget... the difficulty of persuading the developer that bombing was even a problem proves that they were not reactionaries.

I guess Blizzard just released at the right moment cuz people back than only knew Everquest and DaoC wich looked compared to this video way worse.

#1 that mage is using Presence of Mind (next spell is insta cast) + Arcane Power (30% more damage for next 15 sec) + Pyroblast (spell with long casting time, but huge damage)
#2 that mage is clearly wearing Mish'undare, Circlet of the Mind Flayer that indicates he is insanely geared
#3 he is targeting green geared scrubs with 0 fire resistance

Maybe he can oneshot some guys, but while PoM is on cooldown he cant do anything. Hence PoMPyro mages are known as "3 minute mage". It was very uncommon spec because of how hilariously random it was. Also did i say he was wearing gear only about 5% of wow players could possibly get at the time?

1. The above build in WoW was nerfed too. The fact that it was hard to set up wasn't a good argument for its relative strength then either, and Blizzard agreed with that sentiment.
2. You really don't want to start the Festerbomb **** up again. Yeah, the game is down and everyone is bored, but losing an argument on the internet isn't going to provide you the entertainment you're missing.

Vanilla wow is great. well, 1.12.1- I remember having so much fun playing BGs with my lvl 29 paladin and his flaming 2h mace. - I played him on and off- during Vanilla and TBC....before they added those heirloom weapons/gear and xp from BGs... Now it's just a **** show. They butchered every class...and the new extremely buff (generic) Blood Elves models? It's Vanguard: SoH all over again.

Only MMO I remember that appeared to be finished was LotRO- except their pvp system- which they admitted was added last minute for some of the fans....that game is just a massive grind fest now with some of the most boring quests and a bs ptw system.
