New Destro Player

Hello again Warhammer, i haven't played you in a LONG time... I played during the release and into the Land of the Dead expansion before the servers were shut down. And i'm looking to play soon, even though i signed up almost a week ago... ,and the servers still aren't up. Praying to Khaine that this gets sorted out quickly. I plan on soloing until i get a character to at least 30, and then finding a good friendly PvE guild (not strictly PvE, but mostly at least.) and running raids with some good people. Hoping for a good time, and BRING ON DA WAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, maybe not a week ago, but it certainly feels like it.

Don't think so, no. None of the dungeons are. They're focusing on getting all the ORvR lakes and SC's in order first, and the balance for the classes. The major draw of WAR was, is and should always be the PvP. Not saying you're wrong to want to focus PvE, but the game as a whole has always focused on PvP so that's what they've worked on the most.

The main focus was the city takeover for the most part, but you cant really get to that point without PvE to get gear and levels....

The main reason i want to focus on PvE is the lore and the combat with mobs, as soon as i reach the point that i can contend with other players, im not going to shun away RvR, i just prefer PvE.

There's no dungeons no, but when the servers back up and patched, they did fix more PQs and the carnage, havoc, mayhem, ruin sets should be available.

Here's my take on it:

Yes, RvR is the main focus of warhammer online and should remain so.

HOWEVER, PvE is an excellent tool to give you a break from the intensity of RvR content. I've never seen PvE as challenging and it's an excellent way to build teamwork. To that end, I'd say (in my opinion) that the goal of putting the dungeons back in should be simultaneous to the endgame RvR (raiding cities). I'd also say that public quests should be worked on last. Although public quests are the 'low-hanging fruit' so to speak, they also provide the least amount of content to the player.

PQs offered the most immersion and story out of anything.. lol. The influence is used to unlock more story in the chapters. And scripted PQS were basically fun little events you could do with others or by yourself. Regular quests I'd say would be on the bottom.
