Stop posting about it. It's not going to happen.

Oy vey!
I outlined one part of the video that I had a concern with based on it fuelling a fire that exists somewhere else. I didn't slate the whole video. Jesus.
Both Luuca and Machopi1 obviously have no other intention but friendly comedy to lighten the mood abit regarding this entire "situation". My advise to you is to either respond positively to posts like these or not respond at all. You are digging your own grave my friend, and that is unacceptable since you are both a conduit of the community but also the RoR team.

Edit: Dwarfs on piggies would be **** awesome.
"Digging your own grave" and "Unacceptable"? That's a bit of a strong use of language I think... Not to mention "advising" that the dev's post positively to their own forum. If the dev's didn't want this to exist, they could delete the thread anytime they like. And they would be completely in the right to do so being this is a private server. Further, I'd say it was a pretty legitimate concern given someone is apparently actively trying to fire people up. I for one didn't know about that, and am glad it was brought to everyone's attention at a relevant moment. Not everyone here gets butthurt whenever a dev makes a comment that doesn't blow rainbows up your ass to boot just to make you feel good. All this salt towards the devs after they've been both patient from the server-status thread spam and awesome for trying to get the server back running irks me.

Can you drop that subject already? I will make it simple for you. In todays world if you do not bring value = you are not important (players are users, they have no say in the matter, get real). Stop being so cocky to someone with concerns, especially to someone that spends his own free time so we can enjoy the game everyone else abandoned.

I didn't nuke the thread, I didn't warn him, I didn't react excessively. I stated a concern. If you are going to try to shackle me, on the RoR forum, and say that I can't do that because it was funny, then understand clearly that my motivation to continue contributing for free is going to be impacted, and it will be no one's fault but your own. In lieu of any kind of financial cost, the price of entry to this project is respect for the staff, and that includes respect for a concern I put forward about how I may be portrayed.

That line of comment about the "ban" thing was closed, and I didn't intend to post in this topic again. You two brought it back up. Let it die.
Judging by your response I see no way I can answer it without derailing this thread. Be that as it may I have no intentions of shackling you or putting you in a bad light whatsoever.

I've always disliked the attitude (usually conveyed by inane terms like "killjoy", "fun police" etc) that because something is intended as funny, people are automatically precluded from raising concerns about it. Particularly online, where it can be really hard, if not impossible, to distinguish between innocuous humour and passive-agressiveness.

The fact is, humour/satire/parody etc can have positive effects like reducing prejudice/stigma/etc, but they can also normalise damaging and erroneous beliefs. I think people are well within their right (dev or not) to bring it up if they're worried aobut being misrepresented, especially when they do so in a completely reasonable way (which it was here, imo).
@OP Thanks for that, another hilarious version of that vid! :D

And very sadly, i lock. It was funny, it begins to be less.

Somebody (a group of ppl) feel a bit nervous about a very small part of the video because of a specific kind of unb(r)a(i)nned person calling us "nazi" on social networks and use fallacious argument (like this video for exemple) since few days to give a very bad image/reputation of RoR ( you are all a part of it as far i know so feel concerned :) ))and RoR team to his numerous followers ( for the unique reason he has looked everywhere ( except on the homepage obviously...) and haven't found any info to solve a problem that more than 1000 ppl seems to have understood, IE : server down).

Azarael tried quite politely and discreetly to tell it right here, but it was probably not enough

We could tell you our personnal stories, give names and links, and post a factual explanation of the situation to shut up this person, using his own tools too, but at some level, things become more personnal and it is not your concern, and it would be humiliating.

The shame is this vidéo is very funny. Sadly it come with very wrong timing :(.

I hope you will understand.
