[Swordmaster]How to level
What is the fastest way to level it solo through t2/3 where scenarios are fairly rare, do I just grind solo mobs or?

Re: [Swordmaster]How to level
Isn't SM about setting up cc for your team?
Haldirion - Swordmaster (Main)
Aldorien - White Lion
Khazukan - Ironbreaker
-Asur, For Ulthuan!
-To Me Sons of Sigmar For The Empire!
-Khazukan Khazakit Ha!

Re: [Swordmaster]How to level
SM role in RvR is the same as the other tanks: Assist, absorb damage, guard, apply crowd control etc. Each tank has its unique flair to it though.
- SM is very offensive minded as it allows groups and warbands to create enormous amounts of pressure through whispering winds and blurring shock.
- IB gets aoe snare and uncleansable (by DoK's) outgoing healdebuff.
- Knight gets overall coverage of passive buffs through aura's and tactics.
It is true that SM is kind of lacking in Tier 1. He will however get a steeper power creep starting late T2 all the way to rank 40, compared to IB and Knight. This goes especially for 2h build since you need rank 40 and decent gear to pull it off.

Re: [Swordmaster]How to level
don't know how to answer that except for tier 1 is no indicator of later tiers, and if you dont enjoy the mindnumbing play of infinite ap almost 100% block and armor and immunities up the wazoo because of stupid **** like auras then the sm might be for you, a spirit based damage dps he can use his resistance debuff to do awesome damage across the boards to tanks and dps alike (something people forget when talking about the black orc crazy dps on squishies , much wow) and can do a parry form of tanking ( work nice in pve, more annoying in pvp because of all the rdps but atleast vs melee trains you'll be a bastard to kill), so imo it's like most things in the game, even thou there are better classes and classes that more easly help in larger ways it's all about play style
Re: [Swordmaster]How to level
SM is the best off-tank. IB's debuffs/buffs are mostly covered by other classes and potions. IB has less damage and less peel than SM.
SM is THE strongest assist tank right now, with strong peel, but lacks in the general CC department (Lacks a KD, which is in a bit of a rubbish tree imo)
The combination of Spirit Resist debuff + Blurring Shock + a group with strong focus = Nearly anyone dead. Even full tanky SM gets a lot of damage from this. With a full dps SM you can easily focus tanks, forcing them to get guard.
Strong buffs like the Stat steal procs and Whispering Winds provides strong group buffs. Also has one of the best peel skills in Gusting Wind. (IB has to slot a tactic to get an AoE Punt.)
Morale 2 100ft pounce with a 60% AoE Snare.
If anyone hasn't tried a SM in a group, definitely try and play with a good one. I'd take one in every group over IB. Blurring Shock on a full DPS SM(Merc/StrTalis/2H/Taunt) is close to 100damage each time the target it critically hit. Classes like WH/Slayer can proc this very quick with their high AA rates from IF/PFM tactics.
The class is also very tanky in 2h mode with Wall of Darting Steel, granting 50% Parry/Dodge/Disrupt when needed.
My SM base parry is ~35-40%, and with the 25% parry buff up pushing ~60%, allowing for good guard damage soak.
The issue is getting people to play the class. People will mostly play classes for looks, rather than what they provide. Totally understandable to me.
If decent survivability and a strong damage output appeals to people, SM is the choice

Re: [Swordmaster]How to level
@OP Hoethe tree AOE mob grinding gets you there the fastest with Sword and Board.
Side benefit is you made a fair amount of cash this way and if i you salvage you can level up your skills fairly easily.
