There are other addon's that will allow you to set up macro's, while I disagree with anything that simplifies execution, its the conditionals that NB has that really make it a problem.Telperien wrote:Snip

I agree with Aza, we should remove conditional checks from NB, or just ban it.Azarael wrote:Read the thread before coughing up this spew. I explicitly stated that it is not about whether someone can or cannot use NB. The problem with NB is primarily its conditional checks and secondarily its ability to remove execution load from players (as any sequence macro casting does).Lothi wrote:I have idea what next should be baned.
Mouse's with more then 2 buttons.
keyboard's with ,,gaming bonus key''
Why? Becouse not everyone use this.
people with IQ over 100, becouse stupid people can play this game too and this is unfair to fight with smarter ones.
If all this NB cries have sense, this 3 above have it too.
Re: Nerfed Buttons
Nothing influences the game more aka "takes away skill" like /assist, lets remove piggyback targeting instead
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

If you have nothing further to contribute that vaguely resembles a reasoned argument, do not post at all.Dalgrimar wrote:+1Jail wrote:ThisMorbidmind wrote:Yep, just nothing but a bunch of terrible players complaining about dieing. No valid points here whatsoever.

What's funny is that I'm pretty sure Morbidmind's post was meant sarcastically, based on his/her other posts in the thread.

And just where exactly are these average joes getting their NB scripts from? You need to not only have good knowledge of the game to begin with, but also a very good handle on how NB functions if you are going to write your own script.Telperien wrote:I got the feeling that thread is made by 2 sides, pros who spent years on learning play keyboard like piano on level of Chopin competition members, and avarage Joes who log few hours a day and just want to feel some excitement of great epic battles of warhammer. True is pros dont use NB with conditionals because they know already how skills work and they want to make "decicions" by them own. But avarage Joes? Would you take their toy that let them compete with pros?
After deeper considerations I think it would be healthy for RoR playerbase to remove conditionals from NB, but keep ability to stack few skills on same button. Just to save space on screen. For years in War I was using NB for stacking HP pots on same button, flee with AP pot, SW stances on same button, grouping SM skills to trigger they mechanic.
There is a huge difference between setting up a simple sequence and having a full fledged rotation with every ability having multiple conditions etc...

Re: Nerfed Buttons
Who are these mythical players who are creating an entire NB string to bind everything onto 1 key to create an unstoppable "I win button"?
Can anyone confirm they do this?

Re: Nerfed Buttons
As I remember there were scripts for NB not made "in game with NB UI" but written as text files. As far as I know that was removed years ago. Tbh reading skills its easy to figure out conditionals for few skills and thats enough for avarage Joe like me. I didnt talk a bout newbie Mikes that never played WAR.

Good amount of hyperbole in this thread for sure, from both sides.altharion1 wrote:Who are these mythical players who are creating an entire NB string to bind everything onto 1 key to create an unstoppable "I win button"?
