Can someone explain all the ways to get gear?

I haven't played this game in ages, but what I know so far is that as your RR increases, you unlock more gear from RR vendors in each tier. I have also seen vendors selling gear for PvP tokens, again limited by RR.

Influence gear I don't know a ton about. You do PQs and it's kind of like a rep grind? The more PQs you do, the more your rep with the zone faction increases and you unlock gear that way? Is this gear worth grinding PQs for?

Is there any gear for doing RvR specifically?

What are the other sources of gear?

There are two different currencies, one from scenarios and one from rvr. These currencies buy you different things.

Emblems from scenarios: weapons and armor set (for healers the scenario sets are dps sets)

Medallions from rvr: armor sets. These sets also drop from bags when you take keeps in t2-4.

Influence gear from chapters are only good for apperance and not worth doing if you don't enjoy it or like the looks.

There are also a bunch of quests for armor sets in T2 and T3. There are "epic quests" in T3 and T4 which provide very good weapons with cool looks.

Jsut search for "epic quest" and "stalker" here on the forums and you will find threads about those quests.

You can also check the Auction House to see if any gear that you want is being sold by other players.
