My BW Firkraag was RR53 and I haven't played much lately. I know that before the siege nerf everyone at the top was using them (Svarz might be the only exception), myself included. Within an hour of the new siege weapon introduction I warned of how efficient they were for farming RR.

Although I haven't played as much lately I haven't seen the top RR players using much siege engines at all. I've used the oil a few times to give RR to the rest of my group, as I thought that was intentional (which makes a lot of sense).

Getting back to 53 will take a little time, but isn't very hard if you get a decent setup and a bit of AAO. So it isn't a very big deal for me. But the step to 63 is huge, also for the others around 60. Development comes first, but here I feel some players who played a lot are getting punished for what some ppl on the server seems to have abused. If tracking abusers is impossible, how can you know if any of the top 30 did abuse the exploit?

why not rolled back those top 30 to their renown rank they were at when renown was supposed to stop coming from siege.

No thanks. I gained 51-57 in a last weak, i never used seige weapons after 44 or so (once i was lucky enough to deploy it), and finally, i hope Devs have some more important things to fix, then my personal solo-roam results.

This feels like one of the arbitrary measures I hate to see in games. It was easily possible to go beyond 50 without abusing siege weapons.

Ofcourse it's easy to get past 50 by now. The issue is that people were getting 50ish in the first week of 40+ due to siege giving normal renown instead of 25%. This was widely known by the community and why AoE siege cannons were always used instead of ST cannons. Every siege you'd see the players in the toplist just using AoE cannons. Taebal who was the first rr50 was at every single keep siege with an AoE cannon. Same for most of the toplist.
