Client download issues and troubleshooting

I downloaded the game on Saturday and after a lot of troubleshooting I made it finally work. Since late Sunday evening I can´t log in though. If I press the connect button nothing happens. It´s staying yellow.

I installed it yesterday, and the game was fine, now I seem to have the exact same problem. Tried the other launcher version, but to no avail.

The connect button just stays yellow.

Just now solved this problem by deleting rorlauncher.exe and downloading new once again!

Just done what you've done. Don't forget to launch it as administrator!
It got the war.exe launched, but I'm stuck in the lobby, before the server handshake. No error messages.

Absolutely no chance to get it to work, with the two launcher versions. I suspect it's not the launcher.exe file, but one of the three, four config files that unpack when you get the winrared launcher file.

OK, got it now. Had to go back and remove a read-only attribute from the WAR folder. Had done it already, but some new file must have come in with that attribute set.

played fine Yesterday, today I try to login and the launcher won't do anything when I press connect (both web/login server are green).


tried using that launcher posted in the previous page but nothing, the connect button won't work.

I have the most recent launcher now, which works (with read-only switched off everywhere, and admin privileges).
Yesterday, as the most recent launcher didn't work, I used the one from 2015 in Elven's sticky.

Now I'm back to the 2016 launcher again, and game starts...

So I literally changed nothing tried again and the connect button worked, which leads me to think it was just a login server issue?

I have no clue how to, "Replace" my current launcher with that file. I am a computer dummy. Is there a, "Download RoR for dummy's" link? I am still swimming in circles here.

hmmm the explanations are already for dummies unfortunatly. ^^

you download the launcher and put it in the directory the game is in and click on it twice.
