In my opinion: low tier sw, high tier bw. Engi is a range class, but has no real kiting abilities.

When CC will be implemented we can start the kiting for real. I agree that SW is alot of fun but kiting as a group is glorious :D

engi needs turrets, bw needs healing, sw needs nothing.

Can you outdo the selfdamage with gear or RR-Regen?

Only for 1on1 against less skilled players with help of trinkets, pocket items, potions and top-end gear a sorc/bw can be considered "good".
When you keep DM/CB low, then the self-damage is healable with high regen but the base-dmg of those classes is very low, so they need 100 DM/CB to deal serious damage. By speccing defensively you will lose even more damage.

I will say, you can kite with them, when in DoT spec, but you need a group. All other RDPS are different and good for solo play.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Engi/Magus suffered from the last CC-patch, which reduced almost all CC timers but nevertheless, they are quite good solo and ofc in kiting.
SW/SH are both strong in kiting, nothing to add here.
SHAM/AM DPS spec are strong in kiting as well. Selfheal makes them more durable.

The kiting group of my dreams has following classes. :D
HEAL RP
BW
DPS AM
DPS AM
SW
SW / ENGI(was better before the "CC-Fix")
Dying is no option.

No, i could kill everyone (except shamans...) in T3 1vs1 situations with my bw on the original server. I didn't have any special hp-regen stuff, just max. damage. I think it was the lack of players with "trivial blows", that made it easy.
My favourite enemy in T3 was a s/b chosen, running around alone most the time to gank people. I remember that this fights took no longer than a few seconds. :D

Imo these things make the bw the superior kiting class on the orderside in late game:
- the knockdown is an instant cast (sw is a 1 second buildup cast)
- the snare (withering heat) can be cast on move + is instant. If you run around while casting it, just the first tick of the channeling is used (usually ~1k damage on targets in T3) and a 3 second snare is applied.

Well, when you're solo killed by a single BW/SORC, then you are just bad. :P
When you kite down a tank, the tank made a lot mistakes to begin with. You can only kite a tank, when they let it happen. Running into a RDPS on an open field is a bad idea. ^^
No use of potions, certain "wrong" renown skills and builds make it impossible to fight kiters.
A gimped build will never beat a char made for solo play.
Resolute Defense, Cleansing Wind, Trivial Blows (Movement Speed Talismans), at least 2 different heal potions other stuff like that gives a huge advantage. When your enemy doesn't have it, you will even beat them with the worst solo class ingame.

Don't get me wrong, I did the same back in time but it wasn't me, my enemies made it possible. ;)
Dying is no option.
