Multiple Accounts - What is acceptable, and what is not?
Multiple Accounts - What is acceptable, and what is not?
So, my girlfriend is going to create an account and join me in RoR this evening, and it got me thinking: what are the developer's guidelines about maximum accounts per household? For instance, if the two of us wish to create a third account on which we will run 'shared' toons (i.e, a Chosen, to support either her Zealot or my Marauder), is this considered acceptable? Or is it supposed to be a 1 account per person sort of thing?

Some players that log in on Return of reckoning are in the same house, with that they have the same ext. IP address. So they will appear as 2 accounts on the same IP.
With that said, we generally ask the 2 players to perform basic functions that only 2 separate people can perform. If this determined legit then there are no problems, it's simply to avoid the concern of multiboxing. This method has been tried and tested in both cases.
I hope this answers your questions.

I think it does. It sounds like you're saying that we can indeed have 3 accounts shared between 2 players, as long as we're only using 2 of them at a given time (i.e, playing the game as normal - we have no intention of multiboxing or anything like that).Elven wrote:

Sorry if it sounds like I'm repeating my question - just trying to get some clarity on this now so that we don't sink time into leveling a shared alt, only to see it nuked at some later point.

Re: Multiple Accounts - What is acceptable, and what is not?
Well, to be said plainly. It would be: Each account much be in full control of each player all the time. If challenged, they must prove to be. 1 player = 1 account. No more, no less.
I hope that clarifies better.

I am dirty X-realmer. Always change to weaker side.
Re: Multiple Accounts - What is acceptable, and what is not?
One account at one time is fine.
* No multiboxing. You are only allowed to control one character in the game at a time.
