As I mentioned above, it literally relies on one person. Unfortunately, Dascoub is an extremely busy person, you may notice he appears not very active. Nonetheless, he oversees all web related activities.

Haha, yeah. I have had the same issue since yesterday.
I read through so many threads (stickied and otherwise) trying to find a solution.

It's weird, I stumbled onto the website yesterday, saw that there was 770 people online on the server status thing and the huge list in the 'Who's Online' tab and thought, "I can't wait to sign up." I was a bit busy at that time, so I waited until later.

When I was ready, I noticed there was a recent patch update on the page. I signed up, downloaded everything and watched the video tutorial to make sure I did it right and tried to sign in... No matter what I tried, I kept getting the Invalid Username/Password error. I changed my password several times, created a new account, pressed my face up against my screen staring at my username to make sure I spelled it right, and begged the universe to return to me its loving embrace and let me log in.

The 'Who's Online' tab showed nothing and I couldn't find that damn Server Status widget anywhere. I was certain I saw it on the homepage, but it was gone. I figured the server might be down, but there were no official post saying it was down, and other people posted about how the update was real nice.

After 2 or so hours, I thought I had lost my mind. I didn't post a new thread about this issue for fear of being derided and shunned for not searching the forums earlier, even though I did, exhaustively. Reading post after post of similar issues and seeing no solution other than to wait for a server restart.

I'm still excited to join up despite the frustrating bug that cropped up just as I was able to register. Thanks, staff members, for bringing back a game I've missed for years and doing it all for free. While I hope it gets fixed soon, I understand that these things take time and you have lives of your own.

tl;dr - I was unlucky and signed up when the server/website disconnect bug happened and can't log in. I'm happy this game is a thing and can't wait to play. Thanks devs

This won't be the last annoying bug you encounter, but it is 100% worth all the little hiccups along the way. Can't wait until my girlfriend's new account gets past the username/password glitch.

Yeah, spacegoat , going in, I totally expect some annoying and frustrating bugs, it is a development server after all and the devs are very clear about that. I'm anxious to start playing myself!
