When you're facing a double premade and you're boxed into your spawn. Crashing into the enemies several times with all the players in the scen without making a dent (a single kill). In those cases I wouldn't blame anyone for staying in the spawn and not trying. And believe me, it happens.

If you're playing solo as an engineer in a scenario like Phoenix gate or Khain, you can almost single handedly defend the closest objective to your spawn point by deploying a turret next to the objective and hitting whoever is trying to capture your flag. While the rest of your team that thinks you are trash is out either going for the enemy flags or is mindlessly ignoring the objective and grinding away for minimal rewards, you can stop the enemy. If you take heat, kite to your spawn.

Finally, if the scenario looks completely and utterly hopeless, your team has zero points on the board five minutes into it and you're stuck at your spawn, exit the scenario. No use afking for ten more minutes for 50 renown.

And then new players arrive to a SC with 0-350 score or something like that. They decide to leave the SC as well. Now you see like 15-16 players in your team (of course there are only 12, and maybe a few of them are AFK).

We need a Quitter! debuff like we had on live.

i was surprised there isnt, the game warns you of one, but it doesn't do anything.

Agree and an AFK timer/auto kick for example 1:30 minutes you get kicked and debuffed.

Devs were talking about the need to stabilize the client, before they can implement a quitter-debuff. Else the ones getting d/c'ed would get debuffed on top of their missed SC and crashed client.

AFAIR quitter debuff allowed to reconnect to scenario within one or two minutes after the crash.

I feel like making this exact post on the Overwatch forums. I played last night after a bit of a break and maybe went 2-8. Sometimes you eat the Bear, and sometimes well the Bear he eats you.

Got stomped on my shaman too in scens although he's only 34 and pretty much a two-shot. I'm looking at you Dicer! Penril he's just a flag-camper, BOOOO!

Quitter debuff isn't a good sollution. They will just stand afk in the spawn. And the force Quitter Debuff if staying AFK in spawn to long will just make people log out and not play. Like someone have sugested before. Just make a I surrendeer button that needs 10 votes to end the scenario and gives winning side X2 kills of all oposing playeers worth of renown. And remove the Entrances from the game. And if they try to crash the client, just make sure the log back into the SC again.
