I am sure about what you are saying.

From what I have seen on the installation guide from the forum I don't find the "Fairly comprehensive walk through on what to do".
To solve the issues I had to run massive search through the forum with google and the forum is very well reported because I found all the answers to my issues

But I am new and I sorry I could miss something.

No I understand your point. If you do not know the basics, its a bit iffy. But almost any and all troubleshooting issues can be solved by using the forum search function or even Google.

I try to help where I can, but more often than not, i am just using the search function to call up existing questions with the solutions posted.
