Because it is hilarious...I used to put up 150k heals on live...no joke.

On a side note and because I'm too lazy to quote another post:
You don't have to spec defensively to rift/magnet. If you like kills, you can be just as effective as a single target spec in close range. You just have to bit a bit smarter about it and wait for opportunities...instead of mindlessly spamming pull on cooldown.

very true. magus PBAOE burst dps is particularly nasty when played well.

I'm not looking for kill everybody I want to be usefull and a poison at the same time .
I have a question with mine tactic : the stun goes for 5 sec and the 50% timecast for 10sec . There is an immune for the stun but is there an immune for the 50% time cast as well ?

My last test is a while ago but there is no immutimer for the casttime-increase. So u can spam it and increase perma the casttime. It depends not on the stun.
Its anoyin to the GH spammers (Zelotes/Shamans). DOKs dont care about it as usual. Also on the other hand u spam a free stun immutimer too... . But to slot the tactic in 1 or 2 tacticbars isnt wrong.

You're right! I stopped use this tactic to not give free immuntimer on stun . I moved to BS cause I missed some with my magnet tanky build . Only up to 800 BS .
I need a 5th tactic slot !! Ahah

Sry for my bad english, but its late.
Mine tactic depends as usual on the situation and (maybe) if u play in a coord. group which benef. from the mine+tactic.
At Keep defense the tactic can be anyoing for destro.
In smallscale/groupplay i cannot see the tactic as a rly strong one. The targets of the tactic are limited... Its effecting to less classes and so on etc. But i think you have got better experience in groupplay with the Engi than myself (mine is not rly existing with this class).

Yeah, Engi need a 5 tactic slot. But guess we can expect the next buff earlist in 2030 :D

I am currently at level 29 on my engineer and I want to try out a pure snipe build.

Is sniper viable at this time? The range is really nice with the 16 seconds turret buff so I am thinking about just staying as far away as possible and building pure Ballistic Skill and Ranged Crit.

Also I am close to unlocking Phosphorus Shells at the end of the Riflemen tree... Is this ability viable? After reading the tooltip it seems to be pretty crappy and I couldnt find any notes about it in the changelog....

For me personally, I always just maxed out the Rifle tree so as to increase armor debuff/snipe/hollow-points/ST dots effectiveness. If you want to play a pure sniper role, that is.

Hollow points is a must. Kegsnipers are very usefull in double teams. Even before Buff.

Hollow points doubles your damage on a snipe / gunblast. It really is a must slot.

I also recommend using gunblast with M2 rather than snipe. A lot of people know to watch for the red crosshairs for snipe and will save CC, a taunt, or detaunt for it. But they won't with gunblast.

But if you wanna play rifle the key is positioning and picking targets. If it is high armor, shot something else. If everything is high armor wait for morale. That is unfortunately the game at the moment.
