It's just something that worked well... Dunno how to say politely... I enjoy building the dual sets/4 pc + extra gear. It's good usage of gear that comes from different parts of the game. No need to change IMHO.
It worked "well" because you picked up the low hanging fruit and stacked more, doesnt work like that now though but good news, you can build anything you like from whatever pieces you like all you have to do is forgo the 5th set bonus, if the bonus is so good its locking you into a full set against your will perhaps it needs to be reduced in desirability.
That's putting words into my mouth, and twisting.

PS, better change Devastator bonus, quick, I may break the game using it in T4 for months on end now. What's broken?

I understand why it was done. Crit is a powerful stat in the game especially for myself as a WH. Not sure if it is or isn't but if it is I don't think it should be on other mdps class sets or tank sets. WH/WE as squishy and rely on burst to drop there targets where other mdps have advantages that WH/WE do not.

I was just salty b/c I just got enough medallions to get 4 pieces of Anni and now have to save for the helm.

Over all the change isn't that bad. If anything might buff. With infl items and SC weapon, with curret change, drop from 22 crit with set bonus to 20. But gain 2% disrupt and when the extra point starts working respect and pick up 50% armor mitigation seal

My issue with the set bonus change is that combined with some of the crit changes it has really killed the usefulness of some sets.

For example on Engi there is no reason to run merc now. Weaponskill is a useless stat, even if you give up tali spots, a tactic slot, and renown from other stats it is still useless. It does nothing to help you with tanks, armor tali stacking doks, or melee dps like mara's. The core of 80% of destro premade groups.

What merc had to make up for that stat handicap against anni was the extra crit on the shoulders.

With out that now, there is really no reason to run merc, you are going to do the same dps in anni, but without junk WS stealing away stat points, tali slots, and renown points.

Now I am not saying merc needs to have crit, but there could be other options. Increased armor pen, + morale, + weaponskill (completely useless in my experience and testing) to try and balance out the differences a bit better.

But for the moment I really feel that you've made it a one set end game.

Am I the only one that feels like I am hitting way harder after the patch? The extra melee power on the inf weapon is so juicy, and all I had to lose was 3 crit for it... :D

Please stop spreading this heresy. The public opinion is that this was clearly a nerf and therefore has to condemned.

Why are you guys getting worked up over "small timer sets" we have so many more t4 rvr, dungon and pve sets to go
WOOT? Did they patch in Dungeons and Instances in T4?
Where are those "so many more" gear choices?

For sure not, I doubt they have the tools to implement that kind of crafting.
It sounds more like new Talismans with sort of unique bonuses where Talismans are limited to 1 for example.

Talisman XX -> +1 to Path of XXX
Talisman XY -> +2% chance to crit

But crafting armour would be really cool and should be ingame since start of Warhammer. (I remember the "Blacksmith" NPC in Altdorf)
