Did you play WAR for the PvE or the PvP?

I played Warhammer because I liked the universe, the lore, and its inherent dark humor. PVE and PVP each had different reasons to appeal to me - PVP was a challenge, where I could use strategy and tactics to outthink other people. Yet PVE was where I got to explore the lore and find vampires to kill with my witch hunter (as an example). So I guess my answer would be I played it for both?

Bit of both honestly, I originally started playing because I am a huge Warhammer Fantasy nerd, but stuck around for the dungeons [love mechanics heavy fights] and the RvR

Bought the game for pvp, but orvr was too laggy, so it was mostly scenes and pve for me. Made 80rr only on scenes
Still counts as pvp, I guess...

I played it mainly for PVP and RVR which i think was best ever, literraly, only game with RVR close to Warhammer was Daoc. However im a big fan of warhammer universe so rly enjoyed some of questlines. Story quests were realy fun to a guy who play tabletop and pen and paper warhammer.

However i hated end game pve (lotd, lost vale,bb..etc.) i felt forced to do that Never liked idea of farming pve content do be competitive in pvp.

PvP. Used to play in IC on Karak Norn. But what i rly loved to do was t3 solo roaming.
