In the future, will we still be allowed to have one destro one order?

We all have realize that we are in "alpha" a char wipe still can be done and everyone was warned in the beginning. So if the team wants to wipe all to implement a choose one side or the other they can do so. You ppl not paying to play and u are not in titled to anything. There will be many that will still play. Those that alrdy bitch and whine over a free to play game in the works i give you the middle finger and tell you to grow up and deal with it.

We are testers, not trash. you have to realize that even if it's free (and i say thank you to the devs) for the server to stay alive there must be active players. Luckily the devs don't have your mentality and don't treat players like **** or this server would have died the moment it was created.

If you are unable to see the difference between a full char wipe and a dev decision that would impact the server for current and future players then I doubt you'd be able to find your middle finger in a hurry.

People can be fully prepared to have their chars wiped, spend countless hours testing any new content and giving feedback but that doesn't mean they'll be ok with a drastic dev decision. That's why we're here. To give feedback, not to blindly swallow everything we're given. I know that the line between whining and simple ramblings of a worried player can sometimes be blurry, but your comment is completely over the top.

I think some of our panties are in a bunch precisely because there hasn't been an official statement yet, and are just now caring that it seems like a very high possibility that it's going to happen.

I'd like to know if I should bother working on my characters on both sides or not, and start figuring out which side exactly we are gonna play.

That's understandable but to me it really doesn't feel like a week long lockout is a very high possiblity. To quote Grimnir: "We haven't come to an internal consensus on what the lockout will be specifically, but the dev working on it was leaning on a week lockout for the realm."

1 Dev (out of how many?) is leaning towards a week long lockout. But no consensus. Not to mention that the playerbase still weilds considerable power when it comes to repealing big changes. Again, I can understand being catious but I don't think it's nearly that bad.

Character wipes only happen after closed alphas due to the large influx of new players that will be at a disadvantage. That isnt applicable here. The thing with single faction is that although I only rvr as order I am doing the des storylines and queuing for scs as I never did them on live.

Those aren't facts. Those are opinions. They are important opinions no doubt, but still opinions.

Character wipe was not mentioned once. Reread your own post.

Londo was referring to a player voluntarily deleting all of their characters on one faction to play on another. As he indicated by saying:

Same as live first 2.5 years

I.e. If I have 20 destro characters and I want to play on order, I would have to delete all 20 destro characters before I would be allowed to create a single order character. This is how the game worked for the first few years of its life.

Got to love note 5 auto type. Facts are no one is "entitled" to anything on this server. If they choose to go with their opinions we have no say. Honestly one day there will most likely be a wipe and restart with everything they want in play and you might have to choose one side to play. Might want to think about it.
