Can anyone help me log in?

Hi all, just trying to download to the private server for the first time. I've been messing around with it for a few hours and have reached the point where I can connect to the game, but I reach the server selection list and my login times out. I know that the FAQ thread talked about downloading the VPN, or whatever it was at this point I don't remember, but that page was in German and my computer lit up like a Christmas tree at the Malware that was on the page. Also, I couldn't ever actually install the program. I downloaded it but it never did anything. Once I ran it I tried to open the RoRLauncher and it didn't help. I had the same problem as before. It isn't that the server is down because players are playing now. I'm slightly confused. Please help. Thanks.

I did this already. It got me to where it will attempt "Logging in" but the login always times out.

Also, I tried extracting the client again and I tried using another VPN service that I could get to work, Cyberghost. Neither of the options fixed my problem. Thanks.

I've been trying on and off for the last day to log in. I downloaded the game yesterday and installed everything correctly. I have no error messages at all. I've tried using a VPN and it didn't work either. The issue is that I launch the game and it begins to log in and it will get all the way to saying "Logging in...." and then it times out. Then it shows a server list, and I select the server and it does the same thing again. I simply can't log into the server. My internet connection is not slow. I've got 100+ down/up. I've seen a post that asked me to ping a certain ping in my command prompt that was a euro ping. I only got 100 ms, not bad for a EU server, seeing that I'm in the states. I really wish that I could get this to work. I want to experience WAR like I used to.

This thread is the compiled list of solutions that we have for issues with getting the game to work. If you've done everything on this list, chances are we are not going to be much help because you're dealing with an unknown, and rare, issue.

I've just re-tried allowing everything through the firewall. That wasn't the problem either. I'm still unable to connect. I know you've done your best to help me resolve my issue. It just simply isn't working for some reason. I have scoured the forums and it doesn't look like I'm the only person who has had to deal with this though. I wish there were a solution.

It takes me several attempts to log in when I connect. Some issue with the server, I dunno what, but usually after several attempts to reconnect it'll succeed. Just keep trying.

Thanks Elven, but I've tried to log in probably 30-40 times and I've never gotten in.
