PQ FIXING EFFORT Nov. & Dec.

Hello guys,

Last night I made a proposal in the Order PQ thread: PQ fixing should get a player driven boost.

Given that they constitute a closed list, it should be within reach to give significant improvement to its current status before Dec.31st, provided that we can bring those from the player base who're interested & capable onboard. PQs constitute one of the most engaging activities in PVE, they're in plain sight, and bug reporting is easy and available to all.

Raziehell showed agreement with this initiative, that's motivated me to create an actual thread for it.

Please let me know who's interested in becoming part of this...

PQ FIXIN' WAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!!

Everything is up for proposals on how the community could participate:

- Groups of players / guilds publicly choose each their PQ to test, and report bugs.
- We choose the order this should follow: by tier, or low tier first, or high first... if any

Mods could cooperate and motivate people:

- Rewards, in game or forum,
- Events, with all the related goods
- Etc. If the rewards were juicy enough, we could actually see lots of participation.

Endorse either by a post in this thread, or by PM. I'll do my best to reach out to the mods.

I'm afraid i didn't quite understand what you mean when saying: "fixing should get a player driven boost".

I mean we could get people organized and further involved in order to make progress before the end of the year. We could take the list, one by one starting off in the low tiers, and hold an in-game event maybe, where people report bugs, volunteers with the right skills help creating fixes for them (somewhat unlikely maybe)...

I wont talk about putting items in bags or re-working influence rewards cause i know its a huge and tedious task but remember that REWARDS are important.Or else whats the purpose and fun of running PQs?
My suggestion was to work on T1 and T4 PQs first(Which accepted by DB Devs).Early and end game is really important for the current state of Server.

So, Razie, what can players actually do?

Cannot we put together a tutorial on YouTube, so maybe the more involved in the player base get some, if very little of that job done?

What players can actually do atm is report bugs on bugtracker for the PQs that Partially Working.
Developers are aware of the PQs that dont work.I dont think we can do more.
Unless DB Devs want us to.

I would love to help out with fixing the pqs. I've always loved the pve in WAR, even if it's been a buggy mess since original release, and pqs are a huge reason for that. I play a 40 blackguard named Shammeh on the server and can solo most of the pqs if need be to test them. The harder ones would require more people but I'm certainly up to help.

I've always thought that the amount of people required to do the hard pqs was a little excessive, since there rarely was a large enough pve interest, especially with the lackluster rewards. ROR has done such a good job with t4 PQS and the ruin set that if such a system gets brought into the lower tears I'm sure it would do wonders for the PQ populations.

Drop me a tell in game or a pm here if you do need anything done, I would be glad to help.

I remember order's first PQ had an event that the giant were knocking back trees to get WP npc
these pq events would be awesome if it works again
afaik it's not find & fix thing
devs have to make it entirely from none
so it's not easy thing to ask nor high priority
still it would be great

Many PQs had these fascinating visual effects and some Champions/Heroes had cool abilities!

Click here to watch on YouTube
Look at the Norse are coming for example! Just by damaging tents they started burning!
With torches(PQ/Quest item) you could burn the ships! The craters on the ground from explosions and in the end of video being able to see the ships coming from sea! The whole point is to make PQs feel alive! Atm team is trying to implement back all PQs and make them just functional afaik.
This is possible! I believe Londo is the man to manage these things. But of course it needs time.

Matter to expand on that last sentence? What could we do shall them want us to do more?
