I had never gotten a chance to play enough of WAR before it shut down. Now that I've found out that this project exists, I am very excited to play with you all =)
I'm not sure how playable it really is, though. Will I be okay with choosing any class I want?

Sure...or try anby classes you want...if you type .ror debolster in game you see some rules to stay in t1 "forever",so you can try the base mechanic of any class as long as you see fit...and reroll the next class to see how that is for you
