Crucias - Burn The Heretics!

Howdy all,

I didn't make a big effort at my intro post on the war-emu forums, and since this is to be the main website for this project I thought I shoudl actually try this time.

I played a Disciple of Khaine on the official servers called Crucias Soulrender, being the main PVE and PVP healer for the TreatmentX guild. Our guilds was sabotaged (read: deleted) by the GM who claimed he was hacked, that combined with the ludicrous balance issues at the time (invincible Warrior Priests anyone?) resulted in us moving on to other games; over the years I did resub here and there to play Scenarios and get my dose of the best PVP MMO ever made.

Nowadays I'm a somewhat respectible graduate Civil Engineer who runs the GothicWars community site, originally designed for the Space Marine game, but currently transitioning to Eternal Crusade. While I spend a lot of time on Wildstar, EVE and League of Legends (I pretty much only play Twitch the Skaven, hence the Avatar - squeak squeak!), I'm doing my best to drive up interest in RoR on our website.

I'm going to be running a Witch Hunter this time around so I can experience all the Order PQs and dungeons (when they're all recreated of course). So fully expect to bump into my running around screaming BURN THE HERETIC, probably with a whole party/raid of #GothicWars nutjobs in tow. If you're Order then we'll welcome you to join us, if you're Destruction then we're going to set you on fire, nothing personal. You might also see us doing chicken races and chicken combat, assuming the developers here implement that awesome feature - there's nothing quite as funny as watching an entire raid of Chickens charging heroically into newb zones and seeing who lives longest.

Now with all that said, I'm going to go back to writing reports.

I think the only others I've seen here are you and Ebony who only posted once =/

Don't worry though once we get playing together we'll spend most of the time with me asking "Cru how do I do this?" or "Cru how did you do that?" or "Cru what do I do now?" and so on with those questions until you mute me =D

Well I haven't seen Ebony since he ruined my chance to make some new friends >=/

I imagine that **** Dwarf Metalhead might be here soon... Said he was going to get it soon but I don't know if Ebony still plays as the last thing he said to us was he couldn't bear the lag, personally I don't really notice that much... Hopefully he is still going to tag along with us =)

Apparently the lag is a temporary server issue they are going to fix. After they fix it he's trying it again, or else

Fair enough, I can only play about an hour at a time before I feel lonely as I have no onto assist me or talk to =/

Only other person I've been in a party with was someone called "Joseph" who was a Warrior Priest. Died pretty quickly as I think my health has dropped from 800 to 400.

I will be going back onto Age of Reckoning in 30 minutes after the Russia vs Korea match is over =)

Something to consider is that they haven't got the mitigation system working (absorb, deflect, evade, block, armour rating, spell resistence, CC resistence, CC hardening). So you'll take buckets loads more damage now than you normally would. This system is prioritised according to a thread I read recently.

Tanks should tank, DPS should either kite or kill quickly, healers can just heal through it; however without the mitigation or resource systems working, you have limited survivability options available. Pick your targets carefully, don't pull groups and rest up between big fights!

Have you considered that your character is just a muppet who doesn't know how to use a shield?

Yeah, once it's working we'll all take less damage - except squishy classes, they're probably still ****.

Cru I'm a newb to this I had no idea about that stuff =P

And the fact Squishy Classes are still **** gives me so much hope I'll live longer D=
