How effective is a STR+WS build for Grace WP?

Hello guys.
Some friends of mine convinced me to come and play Warhammer again. Having being on the live server some time ago the melee setup for healing used to be STR+WS.
I spent some time reading the guides provided here for the new gameplay of WP but nothing have been written about the effectiveness (or non) of STR+WS at the current state of Grace path experimental mode. Is any of the high rank Warrior priests care to share their opinions please?

On RoR certain changes have been made to the two melee healing careers, you can read about them here if you haven't yet: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=18310

Essentially melee healing WPs will now be using Prayer of Devotion, which will make their DA and Sigmar's Radiance unmitigatable and gain 20%/100% strikethrough (SR/DA respectively). The fact that the healing portion will heal for the amount mitigated through armor/resistances means that if your goal is to heal in melee you shouldn't be prioritising weapon skill, probably even completely foregoing it and going for Strength/survivability instead.

Of course your damage will suffer but it will be reduced by flat 50% in Prayer of Devotion anyway, so you really shouldn't be counting on doing as much damage as a DPS WP in Prayer of Righteousness.

TL;DR: Forget WS, stack STR and survivability.

Good to see you're still around. Are you back in RK? Otherwise there's always a warm and fuzzy spot for you in TVL. We have a good bunch of familiar slackers and oldtimers from live.

And if needed, I'd be happy to bring you up to speed on the new and (dps-)improved WP.

Hard to say since the class currently is still in experimental mode. But im running with full defensive set-up on my DoK for Sacrifice/Dark Rites build atm. Without speccing for str/ws at all.
You can still make a more aggresive based build I guess. But I see very little advatage of doing so. Grace+Sal is deffintly the way to go for small scale healing atm. But for large scale it's pretty shyte.

So now you are forced to play the dps warrior priest in either full grace or full wrath with no hybrid build.
