Sau, what you say is true however some things to take into consideration.saupreusse wrote:All this stuff isnt really representative for an alpha server. We had 1.4 k peaks shortly after t4 release. Then ppl recognized that it was not the t4 they were looking for and we are still alpha. Right now theres nothing to do ingame instead of finding bugs. We still have random dcs and are far from getting things working. I still believe the only thing that brings ppl to the game is to progress in development.
The server is in alpha but you could also look at it as a full release game lacking expansions (forts, cities, dungeons), the game is fully playable in the terms of log in and pvp, alot of ppl played on mythic servers with no progress/development, doing so because they enjoyed the pvp, ofc new stuff will always draw some attention and will make ppl check it out but the majority play/played here because they enjoy/enjoyed the pvp and nothing more.
The population drop should be a big indication, it has dropped alot recently when it should of increased as its winter time and holidays, this is what happens when big changes are made to classes and the rvr system, this is why when changing things you need to do it gradually.
You will know Sau when i was helping behind the scenes how outspoken i was about changes, generally disagreeing with most stuff and was blunt in saying X suggestion is ****, this is why, you need to be very careful when changing things or players will simply not play anymore, this isnt rumour, from the players i know on this server nearly all of them have either quit(some being whole guilds) or have hugely cut down on playtime, this is purely down to the big changes made recently.
Dont get me wrong alot of changes have been very good and alot of them changes have been small changes instead of large changes.
As i have said before i really hope sooner rather then later some changes are scrapped completely and are taken back to the drawing board so to speak or the future of the game looks pretty bleak, when someone like me who plays RoR and no other games now plays a few hours a week instead of 10-20 you know something is wrong, hopefully the damage done isnt to much to come back from.
