You need at least ruin anyway. In a lake, with T3 max gear you are wearing a tanktop. A pink one.
Stalkers anyone...?

It's quite easy to get.

I think we should focus more on how to make t2/t3 more active instead of just re implementing the sidestep that is bonus xp. (like the idea of scaling rewards, weekly medallion chest and so on)
I'm aware of the merge, I was referring to the T2 pairing zones themselves. Warbands tend to form on Talabec/Highpass and Avelorn/Saphery, ignoring the lower pairing.

LoL yeah, please come fighting with stalkers in openrvr. Please. We are below the kill average.

Seriously talking now. Farm ruin, you will raise your level till 36 in no time, then you stand a chance (Chosen has actually the best setup for snb in ruin)

My guild has a pretty set power level routine right now.

About ~3 hours of mob grinding to get someone from 1-28, then that person goes to KV and solo/duo or group farms the easy PQ there for about ~4 hours, then you go do epic quests and get the worldbreaker stuff another 2 hours or so. Give or take another ~2 hours of bad luck at the pq or extra farming needed and it turns out you can be in competitive T4 gear in about 8-10 hours of gameplay (boring grinding).

For us something like this will shave off about 2-3 hours? Not really all that much tbh, but it's certainly nice. But considering how much slower getting to that "T4 competitive" point is for those without the guild help or know how x3 XP is a pretty huge boon if you don't care for the lower tiers.

The main thing we are worried about again is the population in NA, if x3 xp is implemented we believe that t4 will directly benefit from it as players do tend to wash out in t2/3 when they hit a brick wall due to not a lot going on. It's not exactly fun to sit around and wait for something to happen.

Ruin gear, tome jewelry, and epic quest weapon combo is actually very good, if not near BiS on some classes/specs. But a lot is going to come down to player skill, I'm not exactly afraid of doing scs on a green PvE geared lowbie character because I like to think I know how to play, specifically how to not feed constantly in scenarios and realize what I can and can't do with what I have etc... I see plenty of RR60+ people in BiS gear charging in without guard and feeding or doing insane stuff. Group composition and how you play it is gonna mean a lot more than gear in 99% of this games content.

I see people complaining about new players "ruining" t4 scs as a reason for why this shouldn't be re-implemented. But I think it's ludicrous to say that new players are gonna form all the habits they need to properly play in a pug sc environment, which is probably the hardest thing to do in this game. RR's and t3 gear will certainly help, but I don't think it's as big a deciding factor as some people seem to believe.

This is ofcourse just all my opinion, and I don't want x3 XP as a permanent solution or the lower tiers to be abandoned. I just see it as a very convenient temporary/bandaid fix for the low population/interest for that part of the game.

The 'wash out' is a real factor. In fact, just today I screenshot a discussion in advice where new players were saying 'What's with T2/T3? Nobody is around most of the time and SC's aren't popping. It appears I have entered the void.'. To be honest, this is just discouraging people from continuing to play. Then consider, many new people(most?) won't have a guild to run them through your routine so the wash out chance is much much higher.

It's a real problem that I think is coming to light now that 3X removal has had time to sink in. I don't think it worked or had any positive intended effects. Being new around here you can take that with a grain of salt. But I can tell you I was ready to wash out of T2/T3 until a guild saw me, invited me to PL and pulled me right out of T2/T3 with some heavy grinding.

So what's the point? I skipped T2/T3 by 'luck' of them taking me under their wing as a new player. What if I wasn't lucky and what about all of those people that aren't lucky? They'll probably log and go play DOTA instead or something.

I had 4 RR 100's on live, so while I want to get to T4 as soon as possible, I do understand the need to want to make t2/t3 a fun experience. The problem with that though, is that there isnt enough people on AT ALL TIMES to make that a legit reality. With me playing a healer mainly during NA times, I've been running around t2/t3 doing solo quests to get xp while waiting for scen pops (maybe 1 every 2 hours or so) and it has been awfully slow. However, I did not know I could go to T3 at level 16, so I will see if orvr is active there.

I dont see the actual positives of this actual plan to try and revive t2/t3. No one came back to this game hyped to jump back into those tiers. T1 and T4 have always been the 2 most popular tiers, and the numbers now mirror that same sentiment. Nothing we as players, or you as devs do, will ever change that. Do I think 3x xp is the answer? I am not sure, but forcing players to grind out awful content because a select few EU players have access to powerlevels and groups doesn't make much sense.

Not everyone came back to this game with other people. When this game died, I was the lone one of my friends who stuck it out till the end and still enjoyed the game, and now that I came back, I am on my own again. T1 was fun bc there were warbands out all the time in orvr, so if I see that in T3, ill shut my mouth and enjoy the ride, but I have my doubts playing during NA times.

if technically possible i would advocate an optional xp boost only if you have at least 2 characters at lvl40 already.

Doesn't really help alleviate the problems that have been outlined, and would almost certainly turn off newer players (they do exist!) because of said problems and the fact that they would be left in the dead tiers alone without much of an inkling as to what to do.
