Back to RoR, I must say I'm having fun soloing with WH, with some degrees of success. You die a lot, and get really pissed off by entire warbands stomping you (and often following for half map) and spamming emotes, but it's alright. I know it's a group game, but don't disrespect or ignore soloers: there are many on RoR, and they've been always many on live
So true. Literally the mind boggles when a wb chases 2-6 players across a map (looking at you, Avocetti!)
Pot calling the kettle black...

Unless chasing single people with a FG isn't the same. In which case ignore my comment.

Which my groups never did (as anyone who has played with me can testify). Happen to see someone in the lakes? Sure. Chasing them across the map? Nah. Nothing fun about killing enemies by merit of extreme numbers.

And no, the 6v6 did not die in June. Their has been a ton of good 6v6 fights including an event. Just beacuse they were not streamed/youtube doesnt mean they did not happen xd
event that was able to get only 3 guilds, lets face after enigma, Kappapride, CA and now Fusion disband the 6x6 scene is pretty much dead, the competitive scene is not even close to what it used to be when these guilds were still playing on the server, i remember we dont had so many changes on RvR/classes and i think affected both rvr and competitive scene.
now its very dead, agreed.

There were never many 6v6 guilds/groups anyway, from the time my old guild done caledor woods we would fight the same 2/3 guilds over and over, it got boring fast, the nights we would run a group and que CW we would find that only 1 group was queing CW, fighting the same group over and over got boring, even more so when 1 group is stronger then the other group and ended up losing every fight.

But dude, they were totally only cheating to prove a point about how the server is like, uh, evil or something... ;)

Spoiler:
Seems RoR has taken a big hit since the holidays the numbers around November early December were 1200-1400 (with queue) during peak and died down to around 600-800 now it seems peak is 600-700 and dies down to around 150-200 players how come? Have most people done everything currently in game and just got bored or?
For me...
Loss of interest- this is a game like any other so this is normal
Melee serves no real purpose during keep sieges- cannot attack doors- cannons only fire 7 (or so) shots
15 hour keep sieges/zone lock- favors the hardcoriest of hardcore
Genesis gear is nothing but a pipe dream- it was hard to attain at first but now it's just impossible (see above)

I will veer my group or warband off to kill certain people, usually those certain people are the ones that sit around waiting for AFK'ers at BO's and such lol.

Games and MMO's always work like this, people come in, people go out. School, Work, life, and in game politics can all cause shifts and players to leave or join.

Also so much has changed with the RvR system since having only one zone was implemented.
1. The map updates real time now with the door status. Before it could be difficult know if a keep was actually under attack or not by looking at the map.
2. You have to level resources in order to take the keep. So more difficult to ninja a zone.
3. With the contribution system people that load the zone and take an empty keep should get nothing in theory.

It has now come to the point that if I login and see that its KV, I will not bother. Know some people that feel the same way.

I guess a positive thing about the one zone system is that it is easy to find the action. However, I do not think it would hurt to test having all pairings open with the current system for 1-2 weeks and see how it works. If it ends up being a keep swap fest then revert it.

Should be mentioned that the devs have done a great job improving the RvR system otherwise.

Man the elitism of certain '6v6 only' players is stornk on this server. But I can definitely see and understand some of your concerns. Yall just have to chill out a bit.

On topic; I personaly got a bit bored of the repetitiveness (and no real progression other than rr, which doesn't mean much to me), plus I don't have too much time to spend, especially when it's finals weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love grouping up with guildies and allies and just mess around, no matter if it's large scale or small scale. I just want to have fun, this is a damn game. But I simply lost interest over time, and I play other games as well. Recently I got hooked to PoE again, such a fun game.

Some changes to RvR are good, but some are bad. I'm sure the devs can see from these posts what people are talking about. I don't bother with calss balances (although I do read the changes), mostly because I don't understand the game so deeply (and I only ever play one class really, if that's not too obvious), so I just don't feel like I could contribute to that particular topic in any way. And that kind of distances me from the server as well.

I really appreciate the work the devs are doing. I gotta say though, I miss the good PvE WAR had (yes I actually think it was good back in the day, and I enjoyed it!), but I understand that they simply can't work on everything, and I agree that PvP should be the main focus for now.

Give RoR Staff more time, i'm sure we'll have our dungeons, new armor sets and weapons! This server is constantly changing, did change a lot in the whole year i been playing ;) .

We must have patience.
