Is it???
Change says +50% trigger chance (""Frozen Fury" (+50% trigger chance to Frozen Touch) now only affects the Sorceress."), 25% is base on FT and +50% give us 75%.

Re: Changelog 17/1/17
Would you actually slot this tactic now? or has it been nerfed into the ground?
Re: Changelog 17/1/17
It depends in what set up. For AoE WB yes. Sorc is not BW whose got Flash Fire to compete
It mostly affected damage of other DPS in the party and more notably tanks.

Re: Changelog 17/1/17
ya I'm not really talking about what it used to do. I'm more talking about what it does now. Forget what it used to do. Does the change make it still worth it to slot.
I don't main a sorc/BW so I don't really know.

Re: Changelog 17/1/17
Personally speaking, no sorc that I know of includes it in his slots any longer.

Re: Changelog 17/1/17
Lets do the math for the BW: Depending on how you play you have 3-4 proc chances (PS, Sear, WH/FBB, Nova) that contribute to the burst. Lets say you porc 3 times with tactic vs 1 without tactic. If you invest 13 points into the tree the proc damage value is about 215. That gives you 645 vs 215. Since there is no dedicated elemental resistance debuff on order it's fair to assume that you will encounter soft capped elemental resistance. You end up with 387 vs 129 damage giving you a damage increase of 258. That's about 3% when everything crits and about 9% when nothing crits.footpatrol2 wrote:ya I'm not really talking about what it used to do. I'm more talking about what it does now. Now 9% don't sound so bad, it's on par with Endless Knowledge (~9%) and slightly behind Ignition (~11-14%). Problem is you only get the 9% when nothing of your rotation crits. In that case you're not going to kill the target anyway. So you're looking at an damage increase of maybe 4-5% in the situations that actually matter.
These 4-5% are still better than the rest of your damage increasing tactics but you're pretty much worthless against players who stacked a bit of disrupt. So I believe most BWs prefer to run either Flashfire or Burn Through.
In conclusion: Crown of Fire is pretty much dead for single target BW. For AOE it still might be worthwihle to pick it up.
