Follow Parwun's advice - the guy knows the game and knows how botters think (i'm not gonna ask how he knows that). Implement a policing member staff or two or five. At this stage it will be enough to have one online at any given time. Trace suspicious activity, fly to the alleged violator, throw them a message - the kind taht goes across the screen like during the events. If they don't respond - one week ban. Catch them at it again - permanent banana land ticket.
The game is exclusively pvp. Right now the drop lists are broken and rvr not functional. When they are fixed people will be just playing for rvr like on official. All bis gear will be bought with rvr currency and any pve gear will be cheap as it will drop off any mobs while questing.
About botters/gold sellers. You would need to log all of the games mail tradesl and ah transactions. Botters in other games either mail between accounts or use the money made on a bot account to buy trash items for huge amounts from their main. Laundering the money. They generally send the money in smaller amounts to different characters on an account so as not to have large amounts that can be spotted. They will also trade items that dropped to their main account for lower than market price while also offering some items on chat so that you punish innocent people if you ban accounts they trade with. That why you shouldn't buy through advice.
I made enough gold to kit out my am with all gale-runner and storm-courser by farming a few hundred spiders knowing a certain item would drop that I could sell. When the drop lists are fixed and you cant just farm one mob for a certain drop botting will be fixed. Thats why its an issue currently you know where certain items can drop and camp that spot so botters can make a huge amount on these ridiculously low drop items as they know what lists they are on.
