What makes warhammer online fun(an opinion)

Seeing how triggerhappy this forum is, I am willing to take the hate for what Iam about to say, but know this: my intention is not to be hostile, but help explain a view on the game.

After the recent xp highway being removed ppl have increasingly voiced their opinion about how boring it is to level up, mostly playing alone versus the enviroment, while their friends are fighting in action heavy t4. This has been seen as a cry for "I want all the gear now" by some devs. And after the followup argument is that ppl would stop playing in a week, if they couod get to t4 fast.

As someone that only wants to play the game for its fun groupfights and nostalgic scenarios I feel these arguments illogical. On the other hand I do understand that the devs have spent a lot of their own time to make t2-t3 even possible in the game, so it must feel a little frustrating that ppl just want to skip that content.

On the otherhand what the devs might not get is how frustrating it is to play the game for n amounts of weeks or days just to get acces to all of your abilities, only to find out that then you will need to find enough lvl 40 players within similar gearing to have even fights. Since this game really is at its best when you have evenly geared players fighting against eachother, even better if you have a little grudge going on with your opponents. So you see it is not necessarily about giving out instant gratification of shinies, it is about giving ppl an oppurtunity to experience this game at its finest.

Again, sorry if having differiating opinion is not allowed in here.

The only reason PLing is even a viable option is because of the RRgain nerf past 40, and the knowledge that RR is going to be rolled back. The time it takes to go from RR1-30 is a few evenings with a group, you can get to 40 in a week.

Now that Conq gear is out, the difference, in strength but also incredible differences in Time, between a fresh 40 and a some-what BiS toon is growing quite large. Once the RR roll-back happens, we will see most(imo) players return to their mains for an extended period of time. This will make entering T4 with RR0 a disastrous option, and similar to Live after RR100, far more people will seek to either stay in the lower tiers longer, or debolster to farm RR.

Increasing RR gains, like they did in the latest patch, in the low tiers will help to lead more and more players to debolstering. Again, post rollback. Currently, it's "better" to just farm currency than worry about RR gain. Also a great time to roll and PL an alt, since everyone* will be sub-50 soon.

In 6months time, I doubt anyone will honestly want to PL a toon past the T3 debolster range. The RR will be important.
