Hey folks,

Finally took the time to make the game work. Have been meaning to get back into WAR since I heard about this project. Played live from beginning to the near bitter end. Not sure if any old Gorfang players are still about and if any of those old crews exist. Was my favorite experience being on that server, if there is a place they all gathered again.

List of characters if it happens to ring any bells for any old players:

Nikh (Gorfang DOK)
Laeg (Badlands WL)

Anyways logged on and immediately started making a dozen alts just like LIVE because I couldn't decide. I was basically 95% DOK player back then. I see that destro is a little lower population, but in my experience from live that generally meant they would have a stronger SC and more elitism in guilds. Is it actually imbalanced between the sides, or is it just a TZ thing? IE should I play destro due to lopsided pops? Would be NA EST if that helps.

Apparently without Curse I can't remember what any of these addons do any longer. My forum searching is kind of coming up dull. Does someone have list of preferred UI mods? Watched a DOK video by Adei, and that seemed closest to what I had back in 2011/12. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As well, any opinion on classes is welcomed. I was definitely more encouraged/inspired to a class based on End Game needs more than most things. Hence the Heal DOK back then.

Coincidence for the most. Used to have that nick in various games for quiet some time now and I think I might even had that or a similar one on AoR.

But I took part in the (had it been the fundraising-(?) -event on my server back then for your friend (? if I remember right).

So, should I be seeing what the WP/DOK have become? Or experience ROR in a new role out of my former element?

Depends on what you like to do as a DoK, imo. I play mine as a healer but I don't use the typical heal crit-focused build and instead I focus on defensive stats; i quite like my more hybrid spec. Others go pure backline healing and many love it, I wasn't personally a fan of that build. A while back we had a beautiful experimental mode that made true melee healing great but it suffered a roll-back until we have client control. Eagerly awaiting its return

So yeah if you're looking to heal, Dok is as good as it ever was but i can't really speak to dps builds as I have no experience with it.
