What was/is the opinion on the Black Orc class

One big advantage BO have is their debuffs arent cleansed by WP. Where Chosen and BG are. So gcleanse isnt an issue.

This is also a big drawback for SM. As they are the only tank that DoK can cleanse so tend to have their debuffs cleanse much more often.

This was one of the reasons BO made a better dps assist than SM.

Maybe this is disparity that can be rectified on this server. Switch SM and Kotbs debuff types hex with curse.

BO debuffs weren't that good (except for Not in da face, ST CD increaser).

The biggest reason BOs were a better DPS assist is because of No Choppin Me! (group WS buff which was doubled on your defensive target). I was able to buff my melee train for 128 WS and my defesive target for 256. Every group i joined would ask me to slot that tactic (i didnt mind, i used it all the time anyway )

I played kotbs as my main and until I tried other tank classes, I didn't realize how powerful they really are. Kotbs is definitely easy mode tank.The ranged enchantment breaker was ludicrous looking back on it.

Im sure I heard they were fixing that in the last patch they were working on.

Yeah after several years they nerfed the ranged enchant break to 5ft. You could hear a million shaman waaaaagh in unison. Still had the triple tactic which was still pretty killer

If I never achieve anything of importance in my life, I can still say that I whined enough on the forums for them to actually fix the 65 feet range to normal melee range for the KOTBS enchant shatter...

Some thought him underwhelming compared to the chosen and Bg and others thought of him as ok

Ahh the good old BO with the Weaponskill/Armorshred buffdebuff combo and the sweet sweet Shut yer Face..Literally Oneshotting every Clothwearer who didnt detaunt you fast enough

BO was - if played correctly - an INSANELY strong Burster, while still having mediocre defensive abilities. So id say in terms of damage quite overwhelming and not like you said the opposite. But lets see how it will work out here on RoR !

If a clothie lets a BO trundle over to them they deserve to get oneshot. Prekite.
So many would just wait till they are on top of them.

There were quite some situations where a good Stagger opened a nice window of opportunity , but yep - BO with 2handed running in your direction should ring all alarm bells :>
