[Choppa] Defensive priority

Post#1 » Tue Mar 14, 2017 11:59 am

Hey guys, ive been playing a new choppa mainly solo or dps duo.

I've been aiming to drop some dps for more suvivability; I pump my renown points into parry but im wondering what is the next best defensive stat to stack?

Dump everything u have into weapon skill..you get more parry and spend 1 rr point into dodge/disrupt... 45 % - 50% parry its good enough to solo around.

This guy used to be pretty good back of live, if I remember he stacked a lot of toughness.

I've literally never seen a Choppa do anything remotely close to this guy lol. What the heck is he/what happened to the class? This version of it looks amaaaazing!

You could always be the first, peter ;) I have seen a couple choppas roaming solo when on my Ironbreaker, but I think they may just have been momentarily lost rather than purposefully solo-roaming. Would be cool to see what a good, dedicated roaming choppa (or slayer) could do.

Wounds can also help, if your other deffensive stats aren't close to 0.

Live footage, the gear/shinies enabled every class to perform very well, especially while soloroaming and clubbing lowRR targets.

On topic:
avoidance >= wounds >= toughness

Theres not much a choppa can do, tbh. Slayer have an edge in the def department aswell, given their opportunity to leech crit and even avoidance (IB) outside of HtL-dancing.

Don't stack WS for parry though (almost every order mdps can pierce through natural avoidance with ease, even most order tanks can circumvent it...), unless you get BiS gear WS should be the last thing to consider.

Okay last derailment I promise, but is that version of a Choppa even possible on RoR? Or was that mostly a gear/live Choppa type of thing that isn't really possible anymore? Not that many people besides a few T3 AM's, and T4 WH/WE shammy's solo roam all that much.. but still that guy was incredible.
