Longtime WFB Player, New RoR Player

Hello! 40k and WFB have been my primary hobby for the past 25 years. I played the open beta of Warhammer Online and the first month or so of live, but it was just a total mess; so I stopped and just never came back. Well, here I am!

I'm just goofing around and playing all the careers I'm curious about to level 6 or so to see which one grabs me. I am curious as to if anyone actually ports back to their homeland and plays through at their normal racial starting area. I'd like to run through the Dwarf area again, but I don't want to be alone while I do it.

See you out there!

The best and most efficient would be to just spam /5 LFG channel that you're looking for lvl partners to quest, do PQs and rvr in the dwarf zones. :) Welcome back and have fun with RoR! Feel free to add me on my order toons below. See ya on the battlefield! WAAAAGH!!
Crondar Ravenclaw (MA) / Rennoc Fleshtearer (BG)
Adrovar Warpbender (MG) / Kurgog Gorkamork (BO)

Wigbrand Jaeger (WH) / Lorandriel Moonfang (SW)
Belenos Endovelicus (BW) / Brawlgrim Thunderaxe (SL)

Hello and welcome!

I tend to do the same, on destro side tho :)
The classes get more of their 'unique' abilities and feel around lvl 20 tho, or thats how i feel about them.
It might be worthwhile to check out some skills in the careerbuilder (button at the top of this site), it allows you to see what unlocks with each level without having to make a character ingame to see the skill/passives progression.

Cya on the other side !

People don't really go back to the tier 1 starting areas

Most of the people whom are playing atm are "veterans" of the live version so it's been their done that for them and often just rush to the rvr lakes to start pvping

People do sometimes go back to find out mobs for chapter influence for alt appearance gear or tome unlocks but this is much more prevelent in later tiers

I suggest you play the classes to atleast level 10, as most unlock their (first batch of) signature skills around that level.

Make sure to pick up a group/guild asap, check the realm forums to get a glimpse at the recruitment situation.
If you are into the WFB fluff and such, I assume you are leaning towards roleplay? - Check out Lesti's (Glorian on the forums) 'Bitterstone Thunderers', they are great lads.
If you are just in for the game as such you might wanna check out Phalanx/TUP (destro) or CNTK/Beavers(RU)/BT (order) to get sorted out for organised ORvR; Bad Intentions and Fusion (both order) or Denial (destro) for small scale, though keep in mind those smallscale guilds are looking for experienced players - their footage however should give you a sense of how the game plays later on down the road.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Any suggestions on DPS meters? One came with the download, but it doesn't appear to do anything.
