KOTBS - S/B or 2H for lvling

For leveling purposes, should I go sword/shield or 2handed?

To fully take advantage of what people want from a KOTBS, should I go S/B later or 2h when I start doing RvR?

Well...seeing as power leveling is more or less dead and the most effective way to level up now is with PvP....

You really gotta ask your self which way you want to ply kotbs in pvp...

I thought I did? In the second line I asked if s/b or 2h was better or more sought after in RvR. RvR=PvP on a realm vs realm server like this.

Oh my mistake, i thought you were asking which was best for pve grinding




honesstly its a tough choice as both 2h and SnB have their positives, SnB is your standard "tank" style, guard bot etc etc while 2H is a bit more "killy" and can provide a constant +10% crit aura for your team

Is S/B important for RvR? I figured a tank that can sponge only goes so far if he can't do much dmg. I was thinking a 2h would be better for RvR and S/B would be better for PvE? Well I was hoping it was this simple lol.

If your rolling in RvR WB v WB fights yes becuase both sides are rolling heavy rdps atm, squig hearder, and sorcs are very prevalent on destro so not having a shield, and in turn no access to Hold The Line!, and block will be a real hit to your defenses and surviveablity in general

You don't have the gear to do decent dps so just be tanky and buffy. Use emotes.

Another thing to consider is a lowbie with a 2h will cause vast amounts of butthurt and there will arise from many a bittervet a great wailing when they see you coming.

That could be a plus. weigh all of your options.
