Plz keep this post updated when you do!!!!! I really am curious how it'd do. I love teaming up with a WE as the 2nd DD in my parties, but a 2h choppa could be shweeeeeet if it can put out some ST damage.brutalll02 wrote:Well i dont "use" guard sence i focus heals most of the time and if i get into truble i run to my tank so i can get healed up. Solo choppa was never a problem for me i run with alot of parry and ws along daft defender as much as posible. Ap is not rly a problem and if ur getting bursted down in scs just use furtile strikes and ur golden. Also i dont rly play 2h choppa but i am planing on giving it a good shot in the near future.

I dont see the point of no more helpin
first off going up to no more helpin stops you from being able to spec furious choppin which drastically reduces your survive and puts more pressure on your healers to keep you up, secondly if you want an outgoing HD BG has a far superior unclenseable option
Lastly Weaklin killa has higher tool tip damage and a lower CD

Only one I can think of is Grobbok I often see him rocking the 2h but I think he mostly do 6mans.freshour wrote:No not comparing them damage wise directly. Obviously I'd rather have a DD DoK over AOE Choppa in and SC 9/10x unless it is a VERY good Choppa, but I literally never see the 2h version as I was told it was gutted into oblivion. I could be wrong, just had a lot of people over the last year and a half tell me that. Which is why I was asking what it needs to work.Akilinus wrote:.........
I would be surprised if I saw a aoe choppa in sc. Maybe he/she forgot to respec.
Im guessing that 2h has an even easier time killing healers since you can get both Tired already? and heal debuff.
But you should not trust everything ive said cuz im not really a veteran choppa and even less a veteran 2h choppa.
Just trying to add something to the discussion so that WahookaTG and other choppas can get as much info as possible and chose themselves what they want to go for.

On the subject - is Reckless Blow a useless ability or am i missing something?
Same damage as basic Slasha attack, but without the debuff and you become more vulnerable. Only upside is the bonus damage for being reckless, but that doesn't seem to be worth the extra crit % on yourself.
Special thing about reckless blow is that it is a not 2h required exhaustive blow with no CD for gianttree (crit tactic in this tree for these abilities only) so you can use it while dualwielding!
Also with the rage tactic in giantslayer tree it can be very strong finisher for example after the KD if you go back to 25%.

Re: [Choppa] 2H build
2h Choppa tends to work well in WBs where healers and guard are available and the parry strikethrough of the 2h really shines. For more solo or group work where guard and a healer isn't necessarily present, then dual wield tends to help with surviving.
Always a good idea to have 2 1h weapons and a 2h at the ready anyway - keeps you more flexible.

2h doesnt`t have parry strikethrough (sadly) but block strikethrough. The parry bonus of dualwield is far superior.Iacobus666 wrote:2h Choppa tends to work well in WBs ... and the parry strikethrough of the 2h really shines.

I thought 2H bonus is + armour penetration ?Bowldancer wrote:2h doesnt`t have parry strikethrough (sadly) but block strikethrough. The parry bonus of dualwield is far superior.Iacobus666 wrote:2h Choppa tends to work well in WBs ... and the parry strikethrough of the 2h really shines.
Also - not sure on this - I keep reading that parry is often negated by attackers' strength and such. A bit off-topic but does anyone know in detail how this is calculated?
edit: checked stats; you're right its block strikethrough. did they change this?
