[Choppa] 2H build

Disclaimer: I know the Choppa gets a lot of garbage and it might not be the top class statistically, but i have a weak spot for orcs and I like the way it plays. Plus, I'm sure the devs will get around to balancing / fixing each class eventually ;)

After a bit of playing with dualwield, i started to experiment with a 2H weapon. This lead to some sweet ass killing streaks (and, ofcourse, numerous dying streaks as well) that convinced me to continue on this path.

I'm currently 17/17 so I'm hittin the first specialization points which leads me to the question:
How to build a 2H choppa?

For reference, I play mostly pug & some semi-organised guildplay. Play to win, but nothing overly serious.

My first throw would be something along these lines:
http://www.ror.builders/career/choppa/s ... ,4687,4689

Any tips or guidances would be welcome!
(except for "roll mara" tips :p)

I was told a long time ago they have an AP issue? I do not play a Choppa but I like getting the off spec classes in WE and Choppa in my SC groups :P

So other than 100% pocket guard since choppas explode, and required shammy basically for the 2-4k burst heals. What helps them the most? I hate the whole AOE thing for dual weild. They hit a lotta targets but my DoK usually does more ST damage. But I have no clue if 2h does more damage or not (I'd hope it does). So armor debuff? AP ritual? What would help them the most (asking veteran choppa players)

Compairing aoe choppa to your st dok?
I dont feel like I got an ap issue that cant be solved with an ap pot. Can you make choppa work without guard? In pug sc maybe depends on how much the enemy focuses you but you have to be more careful of what fights you pick.
Furious choppin is almost a must if you are solo since you will get kited at first and you are going to need to refill the hp you lost while getting kited.
I havent played much 2h choppa but from what ive experienced you get more burst dmg.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, very helpfull.

On the subject - is Reckless Blow a useless ability or am i missing something?

Same damage as basic Slasha attack, but without the debuff and you become more vulnerable. Only upside is the bonus damage for being reckless, but that doesn't seem to be worth the extra crit % on yourself.

No not comparing them damage wise directly. Obviously I'd rather have a DD DoK over AOE Choppa in and SC 9/10x unless it is a VERY good Choppa, but I literally never see the 2h version as I was told it was gutted into oblivion. I could be wrong, just had a lot of people over the last year and a half tell me that. Which is why I was asking what it needs to work.

Well i dont "use" guard sence i focus heals most of the time and if i get into truble i run to my tank so i can get healed up. Solo choppa was never a problem for me i run with alot of parry and ws along daft defender as much as posible. Ap is not rly a problem and if ur getting bursted down in scs just use furtile strikes and ur golden. Also i dont rly play 2h choppa but i am planing on giving it a good shot in the near future.
