Well the issue with duplicates is, if they removed them, gear would be too easily gotten. Part of the "loot system" and what makes it take time, is the fact that you can get duplicates. This is why the "all or nothing" system doesnt work IMO. Its either too easy, or too frustrating. By "all or nothing" I mean basically the only way to get a Genesis piece, or a Subj. weapon you want, or kinda the Conq piece you want is in those bags. Dont get the bag you wanted, GG, you basically get "nothing". (yes you can buy conq with medallions).

This is why every "option" I discuss with other players always loops back around to "just give a ton of medallions in each bag and allow you to buy everything with medallions. Genesis, Subjugator, Conq ALL should be able to be bought with medallions.

This removes all the frustration with the loot system.
Your buddy gets Gold and you get a Green bag, you both walk away "closer" to your goal than you started. You both can feel good.

Sure we can keep the "RNG" contribution system. I think overall its probably more right than it is wrong (in the sense that the players getting more contr. on average are probably doing more). We can also keep the RNG Roll to determine which bag you get. But the final RNG piece - whats in the bags - is removed so you can get bags and SAVE UP medallions for whatever you want. Itll be a slower way of getting maybe 1 or 2 or even 3 Conq pieces (since the chance at duplicates is very low if you only have 1 piece) but itll be a shorter way of getting those 4th or 5th pieces.

Its a win all around. Still RNG, still using contribution system, merely "what you earn" via the bags is different. You get currency now, which you can buy whatever you want with it. I honestly cant see ANY downsides to this system other than what I said above. A slower route to getting your first few pieces... but this is VERY acceptable to me and I think to most players.

Think it also would be easier to reach conq gear if zone locks give conq medallions and not offi. Most doesnt need offi but conq. And if someone just need offi medallion he can break down the conq one but offi can not upgrade to conq. So i think if zone locks get conq ones it is much easier for everyone to reach conq gear

The RvR medallion quests they added are basically exactly this, except without the incentive for people to afk in their WCs all day.

Yeah the quest give conq medallions i know but to get conq medallions trough zone locks would also benefit solo players. Not every Player like that zerg Fights in orvr. why should they take longer to get gear than others ? They also fight for the zone like others but in zerg you get finish the medallion quest much faster. Otherwise i do not understand the reason why exactly gain conqs trough quest if we could get it directly trough zone lock? That would just easier to get conq gear than now. Its just an idea :)

Okay, just mentioning this before you get slapped by a forum warrior.

For this thread - state/say what would make your play more RVR

Don't - say negative stuff or much more - otherwise it becomes less about what would get you in the lakes - and MORE about things you don't like and can be viewed as a negative post.

I do like your suggestion - but try and keep them more on topic with the theme of the thread. Simply state what would make you play and why. Leave the rest for the big guys, they are being really great about letting this thread go on, so lets keep it going! Great post by the way!

Personally, I think that in RVR every class and spec should have a role to play as well as desirability from the warband (I mean every warband would want some of every class/spec).

What would make me want to play in RvR more?
1) Balance, the game has to be fun. Stomping or being stomped takes that away from me.
2) Organized play. All I've seen in T1 were pug Warband were people have little if any teamwork. I've tried to use the Party and Warband Panel to advertise my own, but it doesn't see to work. I need to set interests before I can search for or advertise yet setting interests doesn't seem to register them as such.

Case in point, with better tools for organising RvR and other types of content (as opposed to spamming the LFG channel) I feel like I could enjoy this game so much more.

Less rvr mechanics which make mass zerging the most efficient way to play.
