Basicaly by closing last servers EA showed, that they has no interest in Warhammer online code anymore. Why would the keep it? Why they wouldnt sell if even for " symbolical" price to comunity?

They won't give out a fully developed mmo framework that anyone could use to develop a new mmo.
Bioware will have all the server code and probably put alot of it into swtor.

I think Sega bought the license to create WH fantasy video games for a predefined time (maybe 5 years like mythic/EA). Until the time runs out, i don't think it is possible to buy it again just for an MMO.
I also remember that GW stated somewhere, that they sell the license for creating WH fantasy video games only as a whole. So it's not the same license model like WH 40k, where you can buy it for a specific game or series.

Because they don't care and even if some people @EA would care, it's not their job and they probably risk getting fired for behaving themself like human beings ( :D ). As a multinational corporation, EA is only interested in raising the shareholder value.

If anybody has past experience with EMU's, SWGEmu in particular, you'll know the redevelopment process is a bitch and a half. Somebody should contact some devs/admins from other EMU's that have been around for years and get some pointers. Just my 2 cents.

Aww man, another co-op shooter that will go down quickly. I think this won't profite for ea. Rather another unnecessary investment
