Why Beastlord for DoK have parry striketrough?

It's definitely not an amazing dps set. And like peter said, good luck with getting genesis. Bl is relatively easy to get, and it can work as some sort of filler until you get genesis.

Or you cane take 20+20 ring and 30+20 cloak and have more usefull strength and wounds bonuses.

Considering how much easier it is to get beastlord it still provides all good/overperforming classes with a 3 piece ( or more ) power creep, primary stat jewel + cloak with tali and then a free pocket item to give a +37 stat increase is just flat power creep, when you compare it classes like the WP or the DoK they get kind of shafted and fall further behind in the gear gap.

Also there is such a limited pool of gear for melee for both of these classes, I can understand the whole hybrid stat thing, realistically that's just not how it works for melee in the overall scheme, its lifetaps. For the most part its just dead gear.

There is a lot of work needed to make them actually on par with other things and balancing through items is kinda meh, I would still rather see them get a fair treatment of gear as the rest of the classes seem to get such an easier access to BiS gear pieces.

I have never played dps DoK so I dont know how true that is. Would like to see some combat log parses as evidence, since for dual wield classes with AA haste, I imagine auto attacks would be quite a large portion of your overall damage done. On the other hand, I suppose for classes that depend on channelled attacks for their damage (DoKs with Rend Soul, SMs with Ether Dance), that may devalue AA damage as you do not use AA when channelling.

AA are a huge part of a DPS WP's arsenal (at least a third of your damage once you get good gear and capitalise on AA haste stacking with a slow weapon). They're also pretty big for DPS DOK, so I would never see WS as useless (if you're capitalising on AA haste, that is). Rend Soul should only be used when you have no AP/for healing/vs tanks imo. Though it does have some situational use, i.e. using it, and using a skill with guaranteed AA after (works especially nice as a WP, so that your hammer is guaranteed to hit with AA).

Melee DoKs who heal party don't use AA haste tactic, so there is not as much damage generating by AA as you may think.
Also WP make more damage with his AA because of dual handed weapon. You see when DoK make autoatack there is 2 lesser hits, each of which is weakens by defensive stats individually. So when DoK and WP make 1000 AA damage there will be different numbers that actually reach target's HP.
There is much more i can say about AA and melee healer DoK, but it seems that people who can take action isn't interested for opinion of old player such as me.

Ah, you said mdd dok, which I took as melee direct damage dok, not melee healer dok. I suppose it might be different then. AA is burstier with 2h weapon, yeah, and AA haste benefits them more because IIRC AA haste retains your attack damage while increasing the speed at which those attacks occur: i.e. a 4.2 speed 2her with a 50% AA haste hits at 2.8 speed but retains the larger AA damage from its slower speed. Makes AA haste one of the stronger stats in the game for those classes that can acquire it, esp those with 2her (White Lion, Warrior Priest, Black Guard etc.), if I am not mistaken.
