Question about the game

After messing around on it for a day or so, it seems to me like there is abit more options for PvP then there is PvE.

Is this one of those MMOs where the main focus is PvP battles? (like, thats where the main enjoyment / content comes from)

In terms right now, yes. The main focus for most players is pvp. There is a pve element but i dont think its very strong. Right now none of the dungeons are running, we have lairs ( 1 boss no mobs) though.

Try the pvp, it is deffenetly different then other mmos.

Also in this game, if you dont do pvp u would be missing out on renown gains which is very important to your class build.

The game revolves heavily around RvR (mass PvP). There is instanced PvP, too, but not to the same degree/calibre as other games you may be familiar with.

PvE does exist in the form of questing, public quests & dungeon instances (currently in the works), but, truth be told, it takes somewhat of a backseat.

mmk.
I've just grown to kinda not like PvP in pretty much anything, as 95% of the time in games i've played, everyone but you has AGES of practice and experience with it, so even if your higher ATK or such then them, you die in like 5 seconds due to slight lag and whatnot.

Buuuut i used to love PvP in games like PvZ Garden Warfare and SDGO, so meh

My advice would be, to just try it. If you find the right char and the right goup/guild, you definetly will learn the ropes and have a lot of fun.

I feel you, but for what it's worth, the skill ceiling in this game is pretty low and you can learn a class/basics of PvP within a few hours.

I don´t think that this will be a problem for you. Just try the mass pvp (RvR like it is called here). If you run with 50 people individual skill is not that much important it´s more how the class distribution is, how smart the warband leader and how big the zerg on the other side is. You don´t have to do instanced PvP or running around solo in the RvR lakes. Just give it a try, Warhammer PvP is a bit different and imo very fun compared to other PvP games.

Warhammer was built as a pvp game from the ground up while many other fantasy rpg mmo's have pvp as a bolted on extra.

I hate mmo pvp but in Warhammer it's all I do.
