[WL] Guardian spec ?

Hello,

Can someone give me feedbacks on the new guardian tree ?
is it worth it ? or the damage is too low ?
does the pet does enough damage ?
Can it stays alive for a longer period ?

if it s worth it, which build ? and with wich gear ? (def gear like annihilator ?)
(cause honestly even the gm that tested the white lion posted his build... not a single point in guardian tree... )

i would like to test it myself, but has a new player i don t have the money to change my armor / talisman... then realise it s not good... and slot everything again :s

thank you very much

:SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

tell me whats your aim mate ? are you a solo emo player or a group player ?

if you're a group player forget about guardion tree, all you need is axeman and hunter spec.
if you're a casual solo pug player who seeks 1v1, new guardian tree is so-so compared the old one.

you dont need to be full tanky imho, wl is a burst class and you're a dd player. even solo or group play, i'd go with hunter/axeman spec with good double heal/ap pot. dont waste your anti snare + charge for disengage like a boss and make sure your initiative 200+ with low inc crit chance to not get exploded by destru rdps.

If you have all BiS equipment in the game (all conqueror, dominator, beastlord, rr45 sc weapons, all genesis, epic talismans) you can get a guardian build that deals about ~75% of the "old" (guardian based) setup, and you will be super tanky. You wont have burst dmg however.

If you dont have these items, forget it.

I mostly solo on WL and WH and I have to say I like Guardian now: I use a 4 BL, 2 merc, 2 conq mix (might try full conq as well, I need 2 pieces), subj axe and 3 Str/Wounds jewels and I can kill any class 1 on 1, sometimes 2 undergeared and/or unprepared peeps. Stalker is a very nice tactic and if you pump your crit, a good CS can result in a lot of dual damage. I use BF, flanking, stalker and pack synergy: not sure if I'm playing the spec right, but it seems to be fine

Hiya, I'm really enjoying the Guardian spec. I do well solo (well, at least i'm having fun :)) and in groups and warbands.

I run theese gear: https://www.returnofreckoning.com/armor ... e=Kharlion
and this spec: RoR.builders - White Lion

Try it, it's really fun :)

I'm loving guardian. Can 1v1 just about anyone in it and have won plenty of fights where I'm outnumbered, it's great for solo roam. Definitely does not bring as much to a group as other specs thou, can't even fit the armor debuff in my spec. I focus on getting my pet as strong as possible, which means lotta wounds from items. Just got all my BiS gear a few days ago (cept for 45 SC weapon) and end up with 9500 HP, close to 600 toughness w/ pot, 1.5% chance to be crit which I will get down with some more RR (56 atm). I run 3conq/3dom for double wounds set bonuses, defensive SC weapon, and undying genesis set. All wounds talis, 1 toughness tali in my axe. For renown maxed reflexes and deft defender, futile strikes twice, and the rest in initiative. Fully maxed guardian tree and pounce, use all 3 guardian tactics and +crit damage (you don't need speed training, stalker speeds the cat up a lil, and charge and LF both boost his speed up to the same as the tactic would while they are active). The damage is great, my pet solos people all the time. Can only burst once every 30 seconds with Leonine Frenzy, but when it's up your cat is a beast. The main problem is the more people involved in the fight, the more useless I become, practically no AoE or utility outside the pull and knockdown, so I stick to solo roaming or holding objectives by myself in BOs. I hit like a wet noodle without my cat, but am tanky enough to easily survive the 15 seconds to summon him again most of the time. I get tells from people just about everyday shocked at how effective it is, not a lot of people running it well atm I think.

Do you HAVE to be tanky in order for Guardian to max it's dmg?

I feel eventually your pet will die in Orvr even when soloing, so hitting like a tank and not actually being one doesn't sound right for a meele dps class.

Mind if I ask Torque you said the spec works fine if you know how to use it ? What would you call the correct spec for the guardian tree? One that achieves what it was meant to do . Thanks
