POLL: Live Events

Hello everyone,

after the last Live Event "Night of Murder" and the feedback, I learned very much for the upcoming events.

For upcoming events I changed the concept:
-Duration: 5 days
-Extra Notes: No farm-able items from NPCs (till Loot System and Bind on Pickup works)

I also decided to start this poll to see your reactions to the Live Events and if you think there should be more Live Events or not. Just in general and not what type of Event. When you have any suggestions you can send me a PM but please start no discussion on forum.

Greetings

I would like to know the reasoning behind the one vote for no more live events.

Aww no more loot?

Well if more even will bring people to the lakes I'm all for it, that's the main reason I'm sad to see night of murder end

I would like to see scripted server wide events that can be triggered.

Everyone plays the game for a different reason. Everyone enjoys a different aspect of the game. While I wasn't the "No" vote, I could have been. SCs are the most enjoyable part of the game for me. Secondary is RVR -- but not mixed with PVE, as was the case this time around.

Live events mean fewer people will queue. That has been the case all week. The weaker side in RVR usually ends up being the stronger side in SCs, causing major imbalance. That also has been the case all week. Given that SCs are mostly what I enjoy, that would be why I would vote "No" until we at least double the population. However, as I know everyone enjoys something different about RoR -- and it seems the masses want live events -- I voted for Option C.

This last event was great, but it was the loot drops that helped it be so successful. Everyone wanted the loot and was willing to fight over it. Once everyone or most had what they needed the fighting slowly subsided.
I think having more events like this will help increase combat between the sides until keeps are up and running. There needs to be something to fight for though. Gear or otherwise.

I went C. Dont mind live vents prefer to rvr over something other than random drops from npcs. That just feeds into the gear race the game suffers from. Better with set rewards based on rvr participation like number of player kills.

I think the Event was a huge success. Having to complete the quest in the RVR lake created great RVR combat. Needing teamwork and sometimes new friends to kill the Hero and Champions was fun. Xanax, I think the occasional lower SC participation had more to do with SC bugs (timers and scores not working) than with the event. SC pops were good when SC was working properly. Keep up the great work, team.

more event should be good, but please, make changes at system before you start another event at rvr
1. get back AAO system
2. turn on fair system to loot - for example WH steal all the time last strike on NPCs - so bring back need/greed/pass system from old WAR before new event please

Although RvR is the main attraction of the game, atm it's kind of pointless. No lasting effects, no longterm goals and no rewards make it just a fragfest. On the other hand the chase after the loot made it more competitive and rewarding. So I'd like to see more live RvR events with some kind of reward, preferably some vanity items we can use.
